We had the good fortune of connecting with Nancy Reza and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Nancy, what is the most important factor behind your success?
Faith, Discipline, dedication, and love for what we do from the very beginning, that is what highlights our concept and our brand and it’s what separates us from other Taquerias in DFW. Working as a team, starting from the kitchen up to the administrative level. Being responsible with what we want our brand to represent not only to our customers but to all of our vendors as well.
In addition, we are not a traditional family owned taqueria, we cater to different groups of people. We use social media advertising and word of mouth to reach different ethnic and socio-economic groups.
All of these factors have helped our business and brand grow tremendously in a year.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
What sets us apart from other Taquerias in DFW is how much and how fast we’ve grown since we opened our first taqueria inside a convenience store in July 2020 during the COVID pandemic. After leaving a company that we dedicated 11 years to, we started from the bottom with nothing but faith, high hopes and family trust, it was not easy at all. Opening a business and starting a brand from scratch during a pandemic was a challenging adventure. We overcame the challenges by applying the experience we had and by adapting our concept to the current events that were happening at the time and the crisis that we all were going through.
Some of the lessons we have learned along the way are that reputation has more power than money. After leaving our last company, people whom we worked in the past with contacted us to open locations inside gas stations due to the business relationship we built with them and the reputation we gained with our previous company.
Another lesson we have learned along the way is that you get to meet the most valuable people during difficult times. Some companies turned their back on us while others held our hand when we were in our most vulnerable moment.
We want the world to know that our company was not planned or dreamed of. Our company is a product of God’s plan and the result of hard work, passion for what we do, and dedication, all of these through faith.
We are most excited about working together hand in hand with our customers, employees, and partners to make this a win win win for everybody without taking advantage of anybody.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would take them to one of our locations for sure, they love our tacos.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
To our parents, who have gone through this journey with us; Victorino and Martha Reza. To our co -founders and chefs, Juan Diego Gutierrez and Jose Angel Avila.
To the Reza sisters and baby brother; Anali, Sandra, Nancy, and Victor Hugo.
And last but not least, to all of our dedicated team members.
