We had the good fortune of connecting with Morgan Flores and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Morgan, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
My thought process of starting my own business was that I wanted to be able to work but be able to do something from home. I needed and wanted to be able to stay with my kids and raise them, but I knew a little money on the side and a creative outlet would be amazing for me. I didn’t exactly know what I wanted to do, but I knew that I needed something! I got an Ipad for fun and decided one day to see if I could draw and here we are now with That Little Logo Lady!

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
That Little Logo Lady stemmed from buying an Ipad and deciding to draw. I went out on a whim and tried it to see if it was for me. In the beginning, I watched countless tutorials on youtube and I’m still learning to elements each and everyday to the program I use, Procreate. It is not an easy thing to learn and it has its challenges but I have dedicated many many hours to learning and becoming better for each logo I create. I think something that makes my artwork and logos unique is not two logos are the same. I am always changing it up and even if someone sends inspiration of a logo I’ve made before I make sure to make them different. Every business and owner is unique so its important to me that their logos stay unique as well. I want the world to know that I’ve worked hard to get to this place, and I keep working everyday to make my business an amazing experience with an end result that my customers LOVE!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Well my best friend has visited A LOT and we have done some amazing things around Colorado Springs, CO. There are so many delicious restaurants to try here, like The Skirted Heifer(best burgers ever) and Denver Biscuit Company/Atomic Cowboy has the most amazing breakfast in the morning and pizza in the evening. Also I would take anyone to eat at Roll UP Taco Truck, it is soo good! If you come to Colorado Springs you definitely have to visit the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo and take a walk around Garden of the Gods. I would also say take a Hike anywhere on a trail and you will see breathe taking views you’ve never seen before. This really is a beautiful place to live and explore!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My husband, family and best friend deserve every single bit of credit. My husband, John, has never doubted me for a second and has always encouraged me to shoot for the stars and even if I don’t make it he pushes me to do more. He has been an unwavering support through all of my journeys in life, he helps when he can as well with the sticker making process. My family has also always stood behind me and encouraged me to do my best, they are always to the rescue to travel however far to help us with anything. My best friend Mayra, is the reason that I even have clients in the first place. She has always used to her platform to promote me and she uses my talents for all of her digital artwork needs. Mayra is the reason I am lucky enough to do this interview, she is my ride or die. She is so selfless in the fact that she chooses me to make her artwork for her when she could have absolutely anyone in the world. if if weren’t for those three sources of love and encouragement I wouldn’t even be close to where I am now.
