We had the good fortune of connecting with Morgan Armbrust and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Morgan, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I moved to Dallas with my family in March 2021. At that time, I was 8 months pregnant with my second son. I was looking for work opportunities in criminal law that would give me flexibility so that I could still spend time with my children. Unfortunately, the opportunities were bleak and I began considering starting my own practice as a criminal defense lawyer. That would allow me to work more flexibly and plan my schedule so that I could work while they were sleeping or being watched by our wonderful part time nanny. As I was considering that, the Dallas Bar Association invited me to apply for a program called “Entrepreneurs in Community Lawyering.” This is an incubator program that helps attorneys build a solo law practice from the ground up! It has allowed me to start my practice and be very involved with my children. Additionally, my father was a small business owner and running my own practice is definitely in my blood.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I am a criminal defense attorney in Dallas Texas. I represent individuals who are faced with criminal charges in the DFW area. My brand is summed up in three words: dedication, discretion and dependability. I put my whole heart into my cases, often going the extra mile to help my clients walk through the legal process. I am professional and kind, helping my clients maintain dignity in a process that can be uncomfortable and confusing. Finally, I am always available for my clients. Working remotely has allowed me the ability to meet the needs of my clients with efficiency.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
We love lower greenville! Anything over there is fun!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Saedra Pinkerton with the Dallas Bar Association. She is the director of the Entrepreneurs in Community Lawyering program that has helped me start my firm. Saedra is wonderful to work with, very encouraging and insightful. I really enjoy working with her and getting her advice.
