We had the good fortune of connecting with MOCHA BROWN and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi MOCHA, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
When I think of a successful person; I think they should be measured by a compassionate heart, integrity, and the ability to utilize common sense. When I think about the success of Children “R” Us, Inc., my only mission is to spread love. As a spiritual being, I love to love; therefore, the most important factor behind my success is my faith in God first then in myself! Other important factors that contribute to my success are things I don’t compromise on.

o Successful people don’t settle!
o Successful people are leaders!
o Successful people don’t fail because they tried!
o Successful people think outside the box!
o Successful people listen to facts!
o Successful people smile and laugh!
o Successful people don’t feel guilty about the sound decisions they make!
o Successful people let go of the ‘what was,’ and regrets!
o Successful people don’t use labels!
o Successful people spend time alone!
o Successful people dream about the ‘what is’ to come!
o Successful people don’t think highly of themselves!
o Successful people love the God of Life & not the god of Death!

What should our readers know about your business?
Children “R” Us, Inc. is a Nonprofit Community Health Worker in Farmers Branch, Texas. Our purpose is to advocate for mental health by canvassing and assessing communities. As a population-based organization, we create a bridge between health care providers, social services, and community businesses. Our aim is to employ veterans, unaccompanied youth, and homeless individuals to assist my organization with picking up litter throughout the Metroplex.

What sets me apart from other non-profits is that I found a solution to decrease the number of solicitors in the DFW, and I’m excited about moving many communities forward in a positive way with the help of many stakeholders. This initiative will keep DFW beautiful, it will also motivate individuals who want help to excel beyond their current circumstances.

My journey has been effortless even through the test and trials. Living in this world, and the things we go through can only drive two mindsets, 1) It’s happening ‘to’ us, or 2) It’s happening ‘for’ us. It was a no-brainer for me; it was always happening ‘for’ me! Needless to say, I only know one lesson and that’s to love our neighbors as we love yourselves! My brand is love because that’s all I know… I don’t want to know any other way, or I’ll feel lost. If I couldn’t love, I wouldn’t feel like myself. I’ll be pretending and that’s something too hard for me to do.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I have transitioned into an introvert with some of my same extrovert tendencies; therefore, let the good times roll! I’m totally into football “Go Cowboys!” Mr. Prescott is the reason why I’m a fan, so that’s a must. Planning things isn’t my style because plans fail; however, I am spontaneous and adventurous! So, with me, there is no telling what we’ll be getting into. I may decide to drive somewhere close but we’ve never been. I have no specifics, I just love to be happy! I’m an open book, and the sky truly has no limit!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My SHOUTOUT goes to God… His love, mentorship, and encouragement allow me to breathe, see and think. I am nothing without God; he’s my inspiration and my help in times of trouble. My body can only function due to the holy spirit being activated in me; therefore, if it dies so do I. The man that I’m shouting out, he’s amazingly generous, he’s stupendously gracious, and he’s intentionally peaceful! He’s my best friend and his name is Jesus Christ!
