Hi Misa, what do you attribute your success to?
The heart of my brand’s success lies in the vibrant community of like-minded individuals who champion each other’s growth. Their unwavering support fuels my passion and provides a constant source of strength. After leaving the corporate world, I realized that fostering genuine human connection was essential for me to thrive – both personally and professionally. Intentionally building this connection sets my brand apart, creating a space where collaboration and encouragement flourish. This unwavering focus on community has undoubtedly been the driving force behind my achievements, proving that shared success is sweeter than any individual accomplishment.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Many women neglect bookkeeping, even though a strong grasp of their finances is crucial for making informed business decisions. That’s why I’m on a mission to empower women to feel confident and comfortable with their numbers. My approach is friendly and calming, creating a space free from the stress and intimidation often associated with finances. Unlike some rigid bookkeepers, I bring a touch of warm, Southern hospitality as we tackle your numbers together.

As a fellow woman and a single mom, I understand the unique challenges and aspirations of women business owners. I’m passionate about supporting women in building a solid financial future for their companies. When you think of bookkeeping, I want you to think easy, fun, and accessible! That’s the experience I strive to create for every client, and the change I hope to bring to the accounting industry.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
We’d start with an unforgettable dinner and movie experience at Studio Movie Grill. Next, we’d grab tasty tacos at El Come Taco, a beloved local spot. For some laughs, we’d catch a hilarious show at the Arlington Improv Comedy Club. A visit to the Dallas Museum of Art would offer a dose of culture. Finally, we’d end the night with a vibrant concert at the iconic House of Blues.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Serena Shoup of The Ambitious Bookkeeper deserves immense credit for her program, fostering a community that empowered me to launch my business and reach my potential. Her guidance has been invaluable. My daughter has been a constant source of inspiration, shaping me into the woman I am today and fueling my desire to build a brighter future for us. My mom, although no longer here, instilled in me an unwavering spirit and determination. She faced life as a single parent with relentless ambition, and I know she would be incredibly proud of my accomplishments.
