We had the good fortune of connecting with Mildred J. Gallo and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Mildred J., how do you think about risk?
Me taking that leap to start my own business was very scary and questionable but it has been one of the best risk taking ideas I’ve ever had ! It has played a big role in my life I choose my own schedule I work for myself and most important I have time for my family

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Lashing is creating art, everyone that walks in your doors is different. Eye shape face shape just different. I got to where I’m at today by working, working hard. Everyone might think oh you don’t have to work so much, wrong ! It’s your business so it’s no longer just a 9-5 job the difference is you’re working for yourself and doing something you love it wasn’t easy and I have challenges everyday. I’m my own boss, promoter, employee etc. lessons I’ve learned in this beauty industry is stay away from gossip, negativity. Do you and you’ll shine bright.

Don’t judge a book by its cover follow my journey this is just the start of Milly’s Corner I have so much in mind so much to do 🙏🏼 Watch me grow 🙏🏼

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Bestie !!! We’re eating at Shell shack in Arlington (I love food) maybe catch a Cowboys game and eat more food lol try out different seafood places. Definitely stoping at Salty donuts in bishop arts maybe check out coco fire and ice ahhhh and go ax throwing lol and catch a horror movie for sure

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to thank my family without them I wouldn’t be here, it’s been a work in progress and always having their support in learning something new is an amazing feeling. And JoJo my first lash artist she encourage me to start lash school and become licensed, and most important God for giving me the strength the courage to keep going and not giving up on my business !
