We had the good fortune of connecting with Micah Trigg and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Micah, what’s the most difficult decision you’ve ever had to make?
Moving to Dallas by myself with no family or friends here. I took a leap of faith and started a new career and business. Best decision I ever made.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’m a licensed life insurance broker. I’ve been licensed for almost a year. I struggled a lot in the beginning. I had to take the exam 10 times before I passed. What sets me apart is that I’m passionate about everything that I do. I do everything with intention and purpose. Before I decided to get into life insurance I prayed that whatever career change I make that I will have “impact” on the world. How I overcome challenges is remembering my “why” and staying consist along with having a great worth ethic. Those things combined has led me this far and will take me even further. I’ve learned that even if you are ambitious and have goals having patience is really a virtue. We may not get what we want when we want it but it due time everything will fall in place. I’m a black woman from Detroit that moved to Dallas about a year ago. Who has a passion to help others while looking good while doing it. I’m still in the early stages of my career but my goal is to travel all over the world while making impact and millions.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would start with Brunch at “XOXO in dallas. Great for pictures and content. Then I would head to forth worth and take the train and site see to different places around DFW. Then I will take her to be some of the best bbq around. Th next day a nice rooftop then dirt bike ridding follow by dinner at a nice steakhouse. The last day would be TD jakes church and spy day at The Omni hotel.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My mother Debra Trigg for always encouraging me and keeping me focus. Amechi Barkon who’ve helped with my career change and has been mentoring me this far. The book the “The Alchemist” which resonates where I am in my life right now is something that I’m constantly reading over.
