We had the good fortune of connecting with Megan Moore and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Megan, is there a quote or affirmation that’s meaningful to you?
This is such a great question! I love quotes and I am in the affirmation business. Out of all the wonderful affirmations out there, I think one of the most powerful ones would have to be, “I am becoming”. It exudes and welcomes growth. What are you becoming, how are you becoming, why are you becoming. This simple “I am” statement leaves the work up to you. It allows you to respond to what “becoming” means to you. As each week, month, or year passes, this statement can and will look different. You will have and overcome different challenges and obstacles, through each phase and chapter of your life.

For me this affirmation, “I am becoming”, means I am becoming the best version of me. I welcome challenges and learning experiences to grow.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
In regards to affirmation cards, you will most likely find affirmations that are full sentences. For example, “I am worthy of having the life of my dreams”. While this affirmation is powerful, it also tells you what you are worthy and deserving of. My affirmations are simple. “I am worthy”. I want you to sit in the silence, and discover how -you- are worthy. What does the word worthy mean to you? How does that word make you feel? If you ask a room full of women what the word “worthy” means specifically to them, you will receive a handful of different explanations. Each person carries different experiences and challenges. Affirmations are personal and is meant for internal work. This is what sets my cards and guided journal a part from the affirmation community. I designed a guided affirmation journal that pairs perfectly with my cards. Each day you pull a new affirmation, you fill in the guided questions on that card, leading you on a personal and intimate journey of self-empowerment.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
This may be the most difficult question for me to answer. While I am usually an extrovert, I am also a homebody. That’s a tricky combo. My best friend and I are pretty chill and would usually spend our days in my home, hanging out with the kids. Exhilarating, I know! But if we could, we would definitely visit a few local coffee shops. Buon Giorno in Grapevine, Tx. Roots in North Richland Hills, Tx. And Redefined Coffee in Grapevine, Tx.

I enjoy visiting our local arboretums including The Dallas Arboretum, and Grapevine Botanical Gardens.
A couple brunch locations that we love include; Wood and Grain Bistro in Bedford, Tx and First Watch in Euless, Tx.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would love to shout out to my husband. He is my best friend and soul mate. I am a stay at home mom and we had 2 children 17 months a part. With 2 small babies, a husband who traveled frequently, and postpartum depression and anxiety, I needed something. I delved into fitness and health. This included moving my body daily, journaling, affirmations, and gratitude. This powerful combination breathed life into my days. My husband and I are creative thinkers and dreamers and I came up with this idea of sharing how these simple affirmations changed my way of thinking. You see, positive thoughts, creates positive actions, that create positive outcomes. He believed in me from day one. I got to work, designing, watercoloring, and creating these affirmation cards. He assisted in getting my website set up. He has been beside me from day one pushing and believing in me. I would not be here if it were not for him. Thank you, Michael!
