We had the good fortune of connecting with Megan Bridges and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Megan, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Freedom. Freedom is one of the first and largest reasons why I decided I wanted to start my own business. I wanted to be able to schedule my personal and business appointments any time I needed without having to ask someone permission. I wanted be able to work as early or late as I would like and see my family more often without someone else controlling it. I was working 5-6 days a week for almost 10 hours a day answering phones and staring a computer in the same place for over 4 years. I knew I was not going to be able to sit there and do that sales job for the rest of my life especially with my heart not being in it. I learned a lot about sales and customer service which has been a huge asset in my Real Estate career. I have always had a huge passion for helping, teaching, and people. I wasn’t sure what industry I wanted to get into when I was first decided I wanted to have my own business. As I started thinking and planning, I knew I needed to do something that would allow me to be in a new place every day constantly learning something new while getting to help people. All of this while as well as getting to use my sales, marketing, teaching, and social skills. I decided to get my Real Estate license and dive headfirst into the Real Estate Industry. I am now a Multi-Million Dollar producing Texas Realtor and have been licensed for less than a year and a half. I work with buyers, sellers, renters, and investors to help them achieve their Real Estate goals. I specialize in helping first-time home buyers find the perfect home to make their dreams come true. Starting your own business is not easy but it is rewarding, and I look forward to starting many more.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My Real Estate business is everything to me. It took me years to figure out what I wanted to do with the rest of my life. Something that I would never get bored of, always be challenged, and get to do all the things I love all the time. When I became a Realtor, I knew that I finally found ‘my thing’. The thing that everyone in their life searches for. A purpose, business, and lifelong career. I get to help people with one of the most important experiences and purchases of their lifetime. They get to make their dreams come true and advance their futures. Everyone should invest in some sort of Real Estate, and I am here to help you do just that. My business is set apart from others by constant hard work, determination, and knowledge. The most important 2 things that truly set my business apart over all other things is being personable and my honesty. I always try to create friendships with my clients. I truly invest my whole self into my clients and their goals. There is nothing more rewarding that helping people do amazing things. I never treat my clients as just a transaction because it is so much more than that. Your clients are putting their trust in you, and you have a fiduciary duty to give them complete honesty and integrity. It is not just that it is the law but in my personal life and relationships I am always honest. I always try to carry those qualities over into my business relationships. I have a huge heart; I care and respect people too much to ever hide the truth from them. In Real Estate, I never want a buyer to be confused about the buying process, unaware of the costs of buying a home, or blindsided by anything when moving into their new home. Sellers should never not know the true value of their home and any other details that could help them get the absolute best offer for their property. As a Realtor you must share all details you know with your clients.
Some of the things I am most proud of is how successful I have been in my first year and a half of being a Realtor. I was a multi-million dollar producer in my very first year of being licensed. I was able to help 19 families purchase or sell Real Estate in 2021. I was voted a Top Real Estate Agent on Social Media and received a Real Producers award for Top 300 Agents in the Permian Basin area. I am on track to do even better this year in a brand-new place. I recently relocated to the DFW from West Texas. I am incredibly proud of taking a huge leap of faith and moving my business to the North Dallas area. I am incredibly excited to see what this year holds. My new team is currently at the very beginning, and I am excited to see how much we will grow in the next year and how many people we will help achieve their Real Estate goals. Motivated Realty Group will be one to watch.
Starting a business is never easy and my Real Estate business in no different. When owning a business, you need to be always available and there are no days off. Real Estate can be very up and down, and it can be difficult to predict. When you are a new agent in the business it can be very inconsistent. If you can make it through the first 1-2 years of being a Real Estate agent, then you have made it through the hardest part. I hit the ground running when I started and haven’t looked back. If you work hard, market, stay up to date on trends, and constantly make sure you are learning you will do great. I overcame many challenges when and first started by always being available and asking for help. The agents around you can be the best support in this business and there is a reason they are so successful. Learn from those around you and listen to their ideas and stories. Always ask questions that is how you will learn. You must trust in the process and be prepared. I love helping and teaching other new agents myself. As what you may consider a newer agent, I have a better understanding of how difficult it is when you first start and can better help them get started on the right track as I did.
In conclusion, I would like everyone to know a little bit about me personally. I believe everything happens for a reason, but I am here to help make it happen a little bit easier and smoother. I always trust in God in anything I do and always turn to prayer. My family is the most important thing on earth to me. I have an amazing and extremely supportive husband who is a huge reason for my success thus far, having a great support system is always beneficial when having your own business. I am a very overly happy, fun, energetic, and positive person to be around. I love to help, teach, volunteer, and be a leader. I care to much about those around me as my friends and family would say. Overall, I am just woman trying to create a successful Real Estate business. I am an entrepreneur and can’t wait to start investing in more Real Estate and hopefully start more business in the next 5 years. If anyone is looking to buy, sell, rent, or invest in the future then reach out to me with all your Real Estate questions. I am here to help you write a wining offer on a home in this crazy market and to ensure you get the absolute best offer for your property you choose to sell. I specialize in first-time home buyers and luxury Real Estate. I am looking forward to what is in store for rest of 2022, and I can’t wait to help you!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
My usual go to for day or night is The Star District in Frisco. I work at Monument Realty that is located at 1 Cowboys Way in Frisco at The Star. I love working in a place that is surround by anything and everything Dallas Cowboys. The Star has tons of great restaurants, bars, and things to do. My favorite coffee shop ‘Ascension’ is centrally located. They do brunch all day and have the absolute best caramel latte. If you enjoy mimosas with your brunch, then you need to try their ‘Aperol Spritz’ it is to die for! Howard Wang’s has a delicious Peking Duck on their menu. The ford center hosts all kinds of events especially for holidays.
My families favorite place to spend the day is at Grandscape at The Colony. We love to go eat Twigs, PF Changs, and go shopping after. Grandscape has everything kids and adults love to do! There is live music, a movie theatre, and Andretti’s is a blast for bowling, arcade, go karts, and laser tag.
Depending on the season you will catch us at a Dallas Cowboys or Texas Rangers game. Monument Realty is the Official Real Estate Partner of both teams. We love to go and support our boys!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to dedicate my shoutout to my husband, family, friends, and of course my amazing clients. I am truly blessed to have a huge support system surrounding me in anything I choose to do. I am full of ideas and constantly finding a new adventure to do or try and I am so very lucky to have the chance to always go out and try anything in my wildest dreams because of those around me. Thank you to all my amazing clients who chose and trusted me to help them achieve some of the most important goals of their life. I owe my family and friends most of my success as they were spreading the word about my business left and right. My stepmother and I have our own team we started and run together. Thank you, Jenni, for all your help as I transitioned into a new market. The biggest gratitude I feel is for my wonderful husband. Gregg always pushes me to be the absolute best version of myself and supports me in all things I want to do.
