We had the good fortune of connecting with Mary Briones and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Mary, can you share the most important lesson you’ve learned over the course of your career?
One of the biggest things starting WiselyWelded has taught me is how important your circle is. There have been times that I booked a private event and my amazing circle just comes together to help and support me.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
In a previous article I mentioned I didn’t know what I was thinking… working full time 40+ hours a week at my full time job, just had my first baby and then wanting to start WiselyWelded. Has it been easy? Absolutely not. But great things don’t come easily. The biggest challenge I have faced is being a “yes” person. I want to accept every possible event/ private party that pops up to get my name out there. I am excited to jump into 2023 and may even open up the idea of hiring someone!
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Oh wow! What a great question. Downtown Dallas of course is a great place to see and SO much to do. There is always something to do. However, my hometown is Frisco. The rail district, great pizza at pizzeria testa on the square, some shopping at legacy west and end it with a nice drink at Del Friscos!
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I mentioned having the BEST circle of people around truly helping WiselyWelded be successful. But the person I need to give the biggest shout out to, is my best friend Kendall. When wanting to start WiselyWelded she was on board from the very beginning. Helping with names, logo, post ideas, etc. she now helps with large events as my partner in crime! She has been such a blessing and love getting to spend more time together!
