We had the good fortune of connecting with Passion The Lioness and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Passion, can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?
My business is all about empowering others. It doesn’t matter if it’s through modeling or my poetry. My main goal is to inspire other people to fulfill their purpose in life. I know how it is to be stuck in a dark place. If I can save at least one life then I’ll be happy. Even encouraging someone to keep pushing forward I have done my part. Quitting is not a option. GOD saved my life. It’s only right that I share my testimony and help others at the same time.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I am Passion The Lioness. I have worked as a model for 5 years. I also write and perform poetry. I published my first book last year for my 30th Birthday. The title of my book is Danielle Unfolded. It’s a book of poetry about my life. It’s definitely real, raw and uncut. These last few years I’ve been doing a little acting as well. Be on the look out for a upcoming series called Lay Down My Burden. Directed by Nikohl Ray. I’m very passionate about what I do. I love inspiring people especially young women. I started modeling because for a while I was lost in life. I wasn’t confident about myself. I began to lose hope. I felt like I didn’t belong in this world. Modeling gave me confidence. Not only am I helping myself but it lead me to help others like me.   My goal is to be known world wide. To not only be a pretty face but to make a difference. I feel that if one wins we all win. I want to be that encouragement for the little girls who believe they aren’t good enough. I am dedicated and determined to make my dreams come true. I will continue to make my mark in this industry.

Any great local spots you’d like to shoutout?
I love to go to Daiquiri Daddi in Fort Worth, Texas. They have good food. The drinks will definitely get you right. Love the atmosphere and the music. The best days to go are Friday’s and Saturday’s.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
First and foremost I give all glory to GOD. A special thank you to my mother, my queen, my heart. She is truly my number one supporter. I would like to thank Natasha Carrizosa aka Natty. She was one of the poets/writers that inspired me to keep pursuing my dreams to write and perform. I would also like to thank my sister in Christ. Jocelyn Willis owner of Sisters With Stories. She has helped me to open up and share my truth with the world. She’s a great inspiration. Last but certainly not least I want to thank Nia Peters owner of Words Of A Woman publishing consultant. She helped me get my book of poetry published. She was very flexible and dependable. I’m especially grateful for everyone that I work with and all of my supporters.
