We had the good fortune of connecting with Maribel Andres and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Maribel, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I believe it was that I wanted to create something different for the events of our quincenearas and wanted to customize and be known for originality’. But also to create a business that I can manage around my busy life.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I started off by just helping out to decorate the venues for my family events. Then I started to do more of the planning since I was getting good feedback on my designs. Then I started to design the dresses and making the accessories for the quincenearas. But it took nights sleeping late since I had to do most of my work when my daughter’s were asleep.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would take them to galveston to the downtown area they have shops restaurants and it’s a nice place to hang out.
