We had the good fortune of connecting with Madison Paige and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Madison, what role has risk played in your life or career?
When it comes to Risk Taking I feel like that’s my middle name. As a hairdresser life is about taking risks. Well calculated risks. I graduated from Cosmetology school in Dallas back in March of 2021. I was quickly at a battle with myself on wether or not I should go Commission Based OR Booth Rent. I looked at the fact that I was coming straight out of school with zero clientele. I feel this is something every hairdresser battles at least once in their career. I took the risk and did booth rent. To this day I am still working very hard and pushing my name out. I am loving the booth rent lifestyle. I was already a boss to my music as I am also a Singer/Songwriter known by Madison Paige. So, this was the way I knew i’d feel most comfortable at. Being my own boss at hair too.

Now I cater to a unique group of Clientele. I focus on Blonding, Balayage, Lived-In Colors, & Offer two extension types (Hand-tied & Halo Couture). I am still accepting new clients and always finding new and improved was to push myself out there. Using all Social Media platforms & Occasionally dropping new deals. If you are wondering if YOU should risk it? The answer is yes. Don’t regret something you wish you could’ve done. Don’t sit back and have to wonder “What would’ve happened?”.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My name is Madison Paige. I am a Hair Stylist based out of Fort Worth, TX. I am a bubbly & bright burst fo energy. Every client that sits in my chair I am forever grateful for. They are supporting me as the creative artist I am. I feel what sets me apart is the fact that I strive to make sure my clients are happy. That they are filled with the knowledge they need to keep the time and money they just spent alive and thriving. I help them in any and every way I can. I also strive to aim for their goal and hit it.

This career is not easy. It is not for the faint of heart. You have to grind, work, push your brand/label, and repeat. Each and every single day. You have to have the grind and the want to push your brand or it’s all for nothing. I focus on the present. You don’t know what the future holds but I’ll tell you that God has a plan for everyone. He had one for me. Take your gift and push it out to the world. You can overcome a lot of challenges if you believe mentally you can. Which means take care of your mental health too. That is a big challenge with ANY career. I struggle with my mental health and have for years. I learn to take care of myself too. You have to.

My brand Hair By Madison Paige, is something I really strive to have people wanting to get their hair done by me because of the outcome I produce due to my knowledge & artistic creativity. I want you to see I take pride in every foil I place on a highlight or every paint stroke I do on a balayage. I want that person that comes to me hating their hair to leave with their dream hair, happy as can be. All due to my ability to do the color and extensions exactly how they wanted. I want you to feel beautiful. everyone deserves to feel beautiful. Every single day. At my salon you will always be prioritized and walking out as beautiful as you should feel and are.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Some of my favorite spots are The Truck Yard in Dallas or The Colony! Live music always! For some really good barbecue i’d go to Oak’d BBQ off Greenville Ave. For a nice girls night I’d recommend Burgundy Swine Bar off Victoria Park Ln. These are all must see places!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
A big part of learning what I love about hair & how to do what I do, is thanks to a fellow Hairstylist & Business owner in Utah named Jessi Styles. Also known as JZ Styles at JZ Styles Co in Pleasant Grove, Utah. She’s taught me the ways of blonding and grey coverage or extensions & hair cutting. She caters a whole area of her youtube and Instagram to “Beauty School Series” all for everything we wish we would’ve learned in Cosmetology School. So THANK YOU to Jessi Styles. Another big thanks goes to Laura Ashley at Wholy Hair. I follow her on Instagram: wholy.hair
She has such a beautiful and well said bit of education in each and every video. Her Instagram & Youtube have been a big help to me and learning anything I need or wanted to know. I have learned more from her each time I watch her content. So THANK YOU to Laura Ashley.

I saved the best for last. My mom of course! She has pushed me so much in everything that I do even if it was something she knew would be temporary to fill that void in my heart of longing to do something. She has pushed me with music 12+ years. Now has pushed me for hair going on 2 years. I am grateful for her and everything she does to support me. Always by my side In anything I go through. I love her and will forever feel so blessed to have her as my mom!
