Meet MacKenzee McDonald: MUA, CEO of ItsGoldenPiece Boutique & Model

We had the good fortune of connecting with MacKenzee McDonald and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi MacKenzee, what role has risk played in your life or career?
If you never take a risk, you never know what could’ve happened. And you never want to go through life thinking of what could’ve happened. So I take risks. If I fail, then I get back up and try again. But I will never say that I regretted not doing something.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am CEO of ItsGoldenPiece Boutique and a Makeup Artist/Enthusiast. I use my face as a canvas to create art. What sets me apart is my creativity and my ambition. I don’t take “no” for an answer, which has made me better in my field of creativity. I’m proud at the fact that I didn’t listen to the negativity. I just worked hard and proved everyone wrong. Allowing me to get to where I am now. It wasn’t easy, especially having to balance college, and starting a business at the same time. But, nothing is IMPOSSIBLE, because the word itself says, I’M POSSIBLE. I just know where I want to be in life and everyday I strive to get there. Not letting my age stop me. What I want the world to know is… I’m just getting started. “ItsGoldenPiece” will be a name to watch for. It ranges from makeup, fashion, graphic design and the list continues.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
So living in Dallas, Texas, there is a lot to do. If you are a creative, I would take them to the Bishop Arts District. Where they can tap into their creative side and even take great photos while they’re at it. To eat I recommend, “Velvet Tacos”. They have the best tacos, and my favorite, red velvet cake. Overall, Dallas has an amazing scenery and you can never be bored. Especially if they come during the fair season. Childdddd! They better get ready to eat EVERYTHING fried and have a great time.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to give thanks to God first and then shoutout to my family and friends. Thank you guys for being that support group that I need. Telling me when I’m wrong, advising me to do more and pushing me to different heights. I love you guys and can’t wait when we are all sitting at the top!
