We had the good fortune of connecting with Litzy Rivera and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Litzy, how has your background shaped the person you are today?
My background has definitely changed the way I perceive people. Growing up in a Mexican-American culture could bring you different types of good or bad things . I am proud of my roots and where I come from it has shaped me to who I am today. My parents came here with nothing to provide me everything even if it meant leaving everything behind. I think that’s what made me such a go-getter type of person because I knew I had to make my parents proud I wanted them to know their sacrifices paid off.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Being a graphic designer is something that takes up a lot of patience since it requires attention to detail. Aside from doing designs I have registered my very own business Rivera Music Entertainment which specializes in the management and booking of artists as well as visas, promotions, publicity and media. It was definitely not easy at all due to all the stress, commitment, money and effort put into it. I overcame those challenges by definitely taking it one day at a time and having that support system from the people I love.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I love music it has been in my life since I can remember. I would definitely go to a restaurant where there’s good food and live music. Most of the time the groups playing are groups i have worked with.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
First and foremost I would like to give a shout-out to my parents for everything they’ve done for me I want to thank them for helping me become who I am today. My closest friends for always being by my side and supporting my businesses. I also want to give a shout-out to these amazing groups who have worked with me in the past and are currently working with me for giving me a chance to show them my work and what I can do.
