We had the good fortune of connecting with Lindsey Cunningham and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lindsey, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
I’m one of those people that don’t like taking orders or being kept in a box. I went to college well 3 times and never finished. I’m in Esthetician School right now and finally found my passion. Beauty and Esthetics.
Leading up to Esthetician school I started The Western Touch over a year ago. It started off with a friend telling one of her students that I’d do her Prom Makeup, she put me on the spot and I did what I do make people feel prettier. Then it was all up hill from there.

What should our readers know about your business?
I always try to make my client instantly feel like a friend. Like we’ve known each forever, I want their full trust in me that I will do my best during their big moments.

Getting here was not easy, I was stuck at a job for 7 years, your regular 8 to 5.
When I lost that job it was either panic and find another job similar or take the leap and start.
Start being my own boss.
Start living life thru my business ideas.

And that’s my advice it will be scary and still is scary but Just Start!!
It wasn’t easy when I started and still is not easy.
Everyday brings a new challenge whether it be a troll on social media or the economy or a simple the Jeep didn’t crank today.
Take a Breathe the only way through it is to go through it.

I have two businesses Navarro Clothing Co which I co-own with my best friend.
It’s a western edgy vibe clothing store.
We print and design most of our own tees.

The Western Touch is my baby. I offer Makeup and Spray Tans for any occasion and soon Esthetics.
Facials, Waxing, Lashes.
Also Permanent Make Up in the future.
Also offer hair services, my best Friend Brooke is a licensed Cosmo girl.
We Travel all over Texas providing on-site Wedding Makeup and Hair Services

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Old Mexican Inn for sure. Some of the best people Own it.
The Vibes, the food and the staff are some of the best.

All the shops Downtown Corsicana, there are some awesome women-owned powerhouses located on Beaton.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My Mom first and foremost. She has been behind all my crazy ideas. My business partner Jacob Reed we own Navarro Clothing Co.
My nieces Carli and Cate they are my drive behind everything. Just want them to be proud
