We had the good fortune of connecting with Lindsay Gordon and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lindsay, what is the most important factor behind your success?
I pride myself in customer service! I think it is so important to make each person feel heard and special from the second they walk in the salon. I believe people not only come here to look a certain way, but they get the look plus feel a certain way as well! Beautiful hair is contagious! When you look good, you feel good and exude positive energy all around! It’s a vibe!

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Since the 7th grade I was the go to girl for styling hair among my friends. After attending college, I decided to pack up and move from Kansas to the big city of Dallas to pursue my dreams of doing hair and having my own salon. Upon completing cosmetology school at Paul Mitchell, I decided to capitalize on my strength of coloring hair and took a position as a color assistant in a high end salon where I perfected my craft in customizing color to compliment each client and installing seamless extensions to achieve a desired look. Through hard work, discipline and talent I built a strong clientele that has remained loyal and supportive which motivated me to take it to the next level and open my own salon. I believes that beauty comes from within: If you look good, you feel good, and you exude confidence and positive energy! And because of that, I stand by my motto of “beautiful hair is contagious.”

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I am a weekend brunch type of girl so Saturday and Sunday we would be some where like Paridiso, Yardbird or Sixty vines . Northpark mall has all the stores you could ever want to shop at, but I do love to hit little boutiques as well. I like bishop arts for boutique shopping! I’m a new mom so I don’t get out much at night, but last I knew deep ellum was a hot spot for the night life. The best spa in town is hands down the Joule spa!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My mom has always been a positive influence in my life and this me to follow my dreams. She has supported me from day one with nothing but positive words of encouragement!
