We had the good fortune of connecting with Lexie Zitaglio and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lexie, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Baking was a hobby for several years before I thought about turning it into a business. I had plenty of experience making cakes and desserts for family and friends, who encouraged me to market my business and charge for my services. I feel so grateful to be able to make a profit on something that brings me so much joy! Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I love getting to know my customers and provide something special for their most important celebrations! It is such an honor to be trusted to make their favorite cake or macarons for wedding showers, birthday parties, gender reveals, baby showers, and more. The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My husband, Nick, is the brains behind my business! Not only does he handle the finances and legal aspects of my business, he is a constant source of encouragement and support. I absolutely could not run it without him!
