We had the good fortune of connecting with Lamecca Hunt and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lamecca, do you have any habits that you feel contribute to your effectiveness?
Starting my day at 5:30 am. It wasn’t easy at first to develop this habit because I’m not a morning person at all but getting up this early allows some quiet time to think and plan out my day. I meditate, process orders, reply to messages and determine my social media content. If I happen to sleep pass this time, my day feels hectic! Another habit is handwriting notes to my customers. This is a timely process but also very therapeutic because I realize this person is trusting me by purchasing my products so the least I could do is personally tell them how much I appreciate their business.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My brand was created for women that desire natural and organic feminine products. Products that address internal and external self-care needs. The reason I know this was a need is because I was that woman. I needed a product for shaving mishaps, odor prevention, and something that would keep my pH level balanced. This journey was a little challenging in the beginning because I stepped out of my normal lane of Real Estate and started a holistic path. Learning what ingredients worked well together and when they didn’t, I suffered the decision. Hahaha! Also, building a base of women who trusted me enough to try the products took sometime and it’s still an ongoing process but it’s worth the effort because I have customers that feel are more like family.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
First stop – Sweet Georgia Brown for some good ole southern food. I couldn’t forget Joe Pool Lake for their outdoor music and good adult beverages. Klyde Warren park is a must see attraction for the yummy food trucks and family environment, maybe we can catch a yoga session in the park. The Galleria for a little shopping would also be ideal. Last stop would be Buttons in Fort Worth for the live band, dancing and more adult beverages.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My husband has been my biggest supporter. He helps to bring all of my visions to life. If I’m having a bad business day, he knows exactly what to say to get my thinking back in the right direction. It could be constructive criticism at the start of the conversation but once he’s done, there’s a high-five and hug!
