We had the good fortune of connecting with Krystell Caycedo and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Krystell, what do you want your legacy to be?
If I’m being completely honest, the legacy I want to leave behind is the impact I’ve had on people’s lives, not just as a photographer, but as a person. I want to be remembered for truly seeing people, hearing them, and loving them well.
Since the very beginning of my company, my prayer has been: “Lord, let me see them the way You do, so I can show them how You see them. Let this be for Your glory alone.”

To me, photography is so much more than just clicking a button. It’s about freezing a moment in time, capturing love, connection, and legacy, for generations to come. I don’t take it lightly that people trust me to document some of the most meaningful moments in their lives.

The legacy I hope to leave behind, and how I want to be remembered, is this:
“Krystell truly cared. She poured her heart and soul into every detail of our time together.”

I want people to remember that they were never just a number to me. I genuinely cared about them, their stories, and the moments that mattered most in their lives. I aimed to connect on a deeper level, and to capture their memories in a way that reflects that love and care.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I always say this: nothing truly worth having comes easy. NEVER. And I’ve lived that truth every step of the way.

My art is more than just photography; it’s the way I see people. It’s editorial and documentary, raw and intentional. I seek to elevate my subjects, while still preserving the honesty of the moment they’re in. I want them to feel seen, just as they are. Every image I capture is about holding space, space for truth, for beauty, and for the quiet power in simple moments.

What sets me apart is the intention behind everything I do. Every detail matters, not just in the lighting, settings, composition, perspective or the pose, but in understanding the person in front of my lens. I don’t just take photos, I like to tell stories. And those stories are treated with care, reverence, and love.

After almost two decades behind the camera, what excites me most today is pouring that same love and experience into mentoring others. I have chosen to mentor people one-on-one, at first, for about 5 years. I believe in truly showing up for people where they are at and helping them grow. That’s something I’m incredibly proud of, being able to pass down not just technical skills, but the heart behind the craft. Photography is so much more than clicking a button. It’s business, it’s vision, it’s connection, and it’s resilience.
I am incredibly proud of the large group workshops I have now started doing. I see the fruits from it and the community that has started from it.

I started this journey when I was just 14. Back then, it felt like a dream too big for someone like me. I was met with rejection, doubt, and a lot of “no’s.” I was laughed at, talked down to, and underestimated. But I learned to hold on to the vision, THE DREAM. I reminded myself constantly: If I don’t aim high, I’ll never hit high.

There were countless challenges, moments of heartbreak, moments of loss, and many, many tears. I remember when my gear was stolen. It felt like the end. But I picked myself up, worked harder, saved, and bought it all again. Every setback became a stepping stone. Every “no” became fuel. I learned how to rise, again and again.

What I want the world to know about my story is this:
If I can do it, so can you.
My journey is one of hope, a reminder that what once felt like a distant dream can, with time and faith, become a reality. It’s about knowing who you are in Christ, and trusting that the seeds we plant, with care, patience, and purpose, will eventually bloom.

This isn’t just a brand. This is my heart, my testimony, and my way of showing others what’s possible when you dare to keep going.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
The inspiration behind capturing your love story is simple: LOVE.

Being a wife to my husband fuels a deeper passion within me to capture the love between others, the real, raw, and in-between moments that often say the most.

I was just 14 years old when we first met. We grew up together as friends, and as life would have it, we were meant to be. Our first date was on December 30th, 2014. We dated for three years, and on January 11th, 2018, we said “I do!”

When I document your moments, my goal is to bring out the raw, timeless, genuine, and romantic emotions, and to elevate them. I want you to look through your gallery and say, “This feels like it came straight out of a romantic book or movie!” One of a kind.

The deep connection I share with my husband inspires me to look beyond just a photo. I see emotion, connection, romance, and intimacy in every couple I work with.

LOVE, and all things romantic, is my greatest source of inspiration.

The person I give full credit to is my beloved husband, Sebastian. He has supported me every step of the way, not just in life, but also in my business. Without him, I wouldn’t be where I am today.
