We had the good fortune of connecting with Kristen Hebert and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kristen, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor behind the success of Happily Hebert is staying authentic and continuing to have humility. Recently, my four-year-old came home from school after learning about humility. He spoke so openly about how important it is to put yourself in someone else’s shoes and really serve others well. I was thinking, wow, at four years old you understand what a lot of adults struggle within today’s society. It has me thinking, who do I want to be in ten, fifteen, twenty years and the answer is humble and happy.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
At HappilyHebert I share ways to wear closet staples, as well as shop affordable, on-trend pieces. I offer weekly try-ons with some of my favorite retailers and boutiques. I also love finding amazing sales! I am very excited about upcoming collabs with some fabulous brands. I am so excited to announce the upcoming content! The biggest challenge I have faced as a content creator is patience. That has been the biggest lesson in this entire journey. Nothing great happens overnight. Greatness takes time.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Oh wow, what a fun question! Gosh, there are so many places and fun to be had. Dallas is HUGE and it is full of adventure.

Start off with a big breakfast/brunch at Snooze AM Eatery, don’t forget to try Juan’s breakfast tacos and a Mmm Mmm Mimosa. Adventure out to the beautiful Dallas Arboretum and botanical gardens. On a sunny day, relax on a picnic blanket and enjoy the soak in all the amazing scenery. Make a pit stop at some of the cool local breweries, Community Beer Company, and Four Corners brewing company–try Local Buzz, you won’t regret it. End your night with dinner and drinks at Mi Dia from Scratch indulging in the table side guacamole, Carne Asada, and an out-of-the-box Paloma. Crazing dessert? Hit up

Some of the other must-see areas/places/restaurants in North Dallas:
Thai’s Thumbz
Sushi Sake
Delucca Gaucho Pizza and Wine
Rare Books Bar
Hop Doddy Burger Bar
Pappas Bros. Steakhouse
Sea Breeze fish market and grill

Legacy West- eat at any of their yummy restaurants, shop until you drop, and enjoy music and a nightcap at Legacy Hall

The Star- stay overnight at the chic Omni hotel, check out the Cowboys championship plaza, enjoy a hip hop brunch at Common Table, have tea time at Flea Style and make a one-of-a-kind hat, and enjoy some fun nightlife at Concrete Cowboy Bar

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I have to give a huge shoutout to my parents! They molded me into the faithful, strong, persistent, confident businesswoman I am today. My mom was the ultimate SAHM who always put her family first. She taught me how to multi-task, communicate, listen, manage and collaborate. Now that I am a mom, I see how all of these skills are transferable in all areas of work. She also taught me the ultimate mom skill-negotiating. My dedicated daddy has always motivated my sisters and me to reach for the stars and never let anything get in our way. He was the dad who was having me make 100 free throws on our basketball court before I could go to bed. He knew exactly how to lead me to do better. He is still my biggest fan! I love my parents dearly and wouldn’t be who I am today with them. Lastly, I have a small group of friends and family who always believed in me and told me to go for it with Happily Hebert! They are still my #1 supporters!
