Meet Kimberly Kirt: Digital Marketing Strategist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Kimberly Kirt and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kimberly, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I have always been driven by helping people and having a positive impact on others’ lives. I knew that in owning my own business, I would have full control over how well we served our clients – controlling the results they received and changes in their businesses. Second, I had a strong desire to travel – home to see my family and around the world – without having to worry about limited PTO days. So, I gave myself the ability to work and help people from anywhere!
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I own a digital marketing agency that specializes in paid ads (Facebook/Instagram/Google), social media management, influencer management, and SEO. While many agencies deliver these same services, at The Kimber Agency we are constantly researching new trends and ways to drive engagement and conversions, all with an unmatched personal touch. Not only in our client relationships, but in our marketing efforts. Connection driven marketing is the name of the game! In order to serve my clients in this fashion, I needed to scale! This was and continues to be one of the most challenging part of my business – finding people who are just as passionate about our work as me AND who have stellar communication skills to give our clients that warm and fuzzy feeling with every interaction. Getting to the point of having enough clients and revenue to hire others definitely was not easy – it meant being at my MAX for a few months ensuring that my employees would always have work while I could also take care of businesses expenses and my own salary. In the “on boarding” process, it meant defining my processes for others to mimic and being very open to feedback in how this could be done best. I know how I like to be managed (which is minimal management) and strive to give my ladies their freedom to create and explore all while doing it The Kimber Agency way. If I could think of one powerful lesson I’ve learned along the way – it is to know your “true north”. Even if you are a one person company, it is so important to know your brand values, core services, and your mission. When you make decisions based off of these principles, you will always continue to move in the right direction! Even if you fall on your face a few times along the way 😉
Any great local spots you’d like to shoutout?
Best time ever? Easy. We would work up an appetite with a few workouts at F45 Dallas Main Street and Paradigm Gym. With our appetites roaring, we would eat at Greenville Ave Pizza Co (GAPC), HG Supply, Saint Ann, Smithy on Henderson, and Savor in Klyde Warren Park, for starters. When it comes time to relax, we would do so with walks on the Katy Trail, around White Rock Lake, and hanging out at Griggs Park. If they had never been to Dallas before, we would probably visit the JFK Museum and head to the top of Reunion Tower for the best view in Dallas.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
The book, “How to Win Friends and Influence People” is a must read not only for business owners, but all humans! It has helped me so much with my management skills and also cultivating a following on social media that gravitates towards me and makes selling and building my client base that much easier.
