We had the good fortune of connecting with Kickie Boldness and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kickie Boldness, we’d love to hear what makes you happy.
What makes me happy is God first and foremost! My resilience, a supportive system, my ability to give myself love and compassion, balance, purpose, empathy, a positive mindset and having gratitude in my growth. These things and so much more make me happy because it reminds me of who I am becoming and where I have been on my journey throughout each year and seasons. These gifts keep me humble and opens my heart to the new. I know that what’s for me is for me and God will make sure it doesn’t pass me by. I make sure each day I give thanks and show my gratitude for BEING, and being able to accomplish my goals thus far.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?

I am extremely proud of my journey overall. To look back on where I started and have grown over time is a blessing. What I am most proud of is my journey to Milan Italy to partake in fashion week. An experience so grand and surreal! The beautiful people and the love they showed to me was just a taste of what’s to come. I believe anything worth having does not come easy! Period. I always here others say that they are not where they want to be yet and they still have a lot more to accomplish. I believe that where I am NOW is exactly where I am suppose to be. Is there more I want to do? Yes, absolutely! Each time I accomplish something I feel like I’m just beginning again. However, where I am I have learned to be content with that and show gratitude for what’s to come. As I water the seeds that I’ve seen I celebrate all my wins both big and small but once those seasons have gone its time to grow again, gain more wisdom, learn more because losing is not a option. I will never lose! I learn. I own the things I want and it’s having that piece of nervousness when I get to step into what I love that keeps me grounded and knowing that ego has not taken place of spirit mind. The challenges will always come. I’ve cried, wanted to give up and throw in the towel, but then I wiped those tears, self check and I rise like the phoniex from the ashes and I continue. My mind and self respect has to be stronger than my feelings and that’s what pushes me harder. My brand is for the bold and resilient! The ones that will not dial back to make others feel comfortable by making themselves uncomfortable. There is so much more to come as I continue to grow myself and my brand. I want people to feel grand, and I love to here people say “your designs made me feel so good”! I love that. To me that is a sign that I am on the path I was gifted for. Lessons I have taken from my journey: -Do it when I am scared the most and don’t know what to expect
-To be quiet about my opportunities and let the work speak, you can talk yourself out of a blessing, and there are those who prey on us and not pray for us
-Have an open heart and mind to new things and new ways of living
-Some doors are not your door and its ok, your time will come so still be obedient in your waiting season and show up
-Show up in love and grace no matter how others see you
-and lastly, give yourself GRACE, find BALANCE , SLEEP, and WATER YOURSELF

at KICKIE the motto is to “BE Audacious. BE Appealing. BE You” and dont apologize for that

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
To my two best friends Coco, and Zan that are no longer here physically, thank you both for having my back supporting me and pushing me harder on the days I struggled to find motivation. Because of you both I know what it means to have genuine love with no conditions. To my brothers Grishby, Frank, and Jamel ( The New Case Study of Greatness) I love you guys for treating me with the upmost respect and making sure I stay at PURPOSE! My mom, aunties, brothers and sisters, thank you all for seeing me and your words of encouragement on the days it gets a little harder. I love you all deeply. The book that changed how I shifted my mindset and now have a growing library of my own was “The Power of Respect” by Deborah Norville. To all those I inspire and get encouraging words from when I post or see you, Thank you so much for your kind and warm words, it never goes unnoticed. I hold all of this love close to my heart and the memories remind me to smile and continue to show up in my truth.
