We had the good fortune of connecting with Khosro R Kordi and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Khosro, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Photography was a big part of my childhood, and it followed me to adulthood. At about age 7, I picked up an old camera out of curiosity, clicked the shutter button, and was fascinated with the flash. I took horrible photos, since I didn’t know what I was doing. I was happy and didn’t care until my mom showed me how to use the camera. It was a film camera. After some time of practicing, I became my family’s photographer. I bought my first digital camera at 14, received a photography award that same year, and this helped me work even harder to improve my skills. While in college, I made the decision to put photography as my career path ahead of my other interest- IT. KHOSRO RK PHOTOGRAPHY was born!

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I specialise in Fashion / Beauty and Portrait photography. I work with magazines from all around the world, and also do photography media production. It has been a challenging road, but I have never taken my focus off photography. What has kept me going is my vision of becoming the best in the world, and the excitement from bringing my creative ideas to life.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I’m new to the DFW area as a war refugee from Ukraine, but I love going to Legacy West in Plano, and downtown Dallas. We will try some restaurants in Plano then go walk around in downtown Dallas.
