We had the good fortune of connecting with Khaddafi Gibson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Khaddafi, how has your perspective on work-life balance evolved over time?
Since I have made the decision to go Full Time! My work life balance has made my life more fulfilling! I have Preteens who are inspired to be active and involved in sports this has allowed me to me more hands on and involved as well with real work life balance. I’m able to take them to school etc. it’s important for me to not only allow them to follow their desires but to be involved and present as well!

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’m a licensed Eyelash Extensions specialist, also a Certified Semi Permanent make up artist! I love Beauty! I strongly feel like if it makes you feel beautiful then do it! When a women looks and feels good she is unstoppable! I enjoy helping with these services! What set me apart is my authentic love for building new relationships! I have never met and stranger! I know having someone you like and can trust as a professional/friend is important. I’m most proud of my Growth! This is a competitive industry! I have met some wonderful people during my journey! I see the difference in my craft over the past 3 years and I’m still so excited to learn more and become even better! I never gave up! It’ was very challenging as a single mother of 2 going to school to complete 320 credit hours in a new state! Nothing was easy about it but I finished one credit at a time! Even if I went to school for 2 hours I was there! It took me longer but I got it done! I knew what I wanted to do and that was to one day experience working for myself! I have always been in leadership for corporate! But this passion was different. I have learned that you have to step out on faith, it’s so much easier said than done! I have learned that just believing in myself and doing the work can take me places not just for me but family as well. I want the world to know that it isn’t where you come from no matter what you been through you are in control of you happiness and destiny. Dig deep to find yourself and passion and with faith and work anything is possible. My brand is to make you feel good about yourself, and bring out the inner Queen for unstoppable Women.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I’m originally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin been a resident of Texas for 6 years! What I love about Texas is that I can never get bored I still feel like a tourist like I’m on vacation. My friend’s visit often. First we will sleep in we all work so hard, and have busy lives sometimes it’s hard to just enjoy some good reset. We love to eat! So next would be a brunch spot with good Bacon and Mimosas. Lol We enjoy trying different restaurants. After brunch a great Relaxing place like the SPA castle would be next to catch a vibe while relaxing! That’s one of our favorite places.Up town Dallas is always a good spot with great music, drinks, and views. We can enjoy the variety or places vs. one spot. One of my favorite places is Turkey DAM they have really good Stuffed turkeys! It’s a must try! We would end the night there.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I love the fact that I have many inspiring Entrepreneur friends! Having a circle of ladies who are passionate about something definitely help you follow your passion as well! Surrounding yourself around like minded individuals definitely helped strengthen my mind. So Shoutout to my supportive Tribe.
