We had the good fortune of connecting with Kevin “Solo” Soward and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kevin “Solo”, how did you come up with the idea for your business?
The idea of iLYKE2PARTi came to life from my genuine love for bringing beautiful people together. As a social butterfly, I noticed a gap in the market for events that didn’t really catered to the transplant of people throughout the metroplex musically. This sparked the idea to create a lane where DJ’s from other cities can have a platform to relate to those patrons that now live in DFW. This allowed other professionals from around the globe to start connecting with each other over time.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
At iLYKE2PARTi.com, the mission has always been simple since 2016; to host quality parties and events for the professionals who enjoy going out amongst other mature partygoers around the globe. The journey has been filled with memorable experiences(ups and downs) that has shaped my brand to be recognized from coast to coast. So, thank you for all the love and support over the years.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
My itinerary for a mature(25yrs+) group of friends coming to visit Dallas for a week. Here are a list of spots to visit in no specific day or order for your enjoyment.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I relocated to Dallas in 2007 with my best friend, Antonio Everette. Now part owner of Whiskey Dallas and Sandaga 813. He was an established Real Estate Agent out here and not long afterwards, the market crashed. So, once I moved to Dallas I pointed out how many people we knew after going out on the scene for the first week or so upon my arrival to the city. With that being said, I mentioned we should put together a social gathering and invite as many people as we know. Well, the rest is history.

Also, I would have to give credit to my patrons who I would hear sharing their insights on how their experience could have been better or enhanced. This helped me turn my social gathering into signature events which allowed me to focus on quality and inclusivity where everyone felt valued.
