We had the good fortune of connecting with Kevin Chastain and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kevin, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
My thought process behind starting my own business was very simple. I absolutely love the moving industry and all aspects of it, from being hands on and actually doing the heavy lifting, to answering calls and booking jobs. Once I climbed up the ladder and became operations manager for a very successful moving company I decided it was time to dive head first into the creation of my own business. I spent every penny of my saving on my LLC, truck, licensing and permits. At the time i knew it was a huge risk, but I trusted in myself and my abilities. If I could change one thing I would have started sooner.
What should our readers know about your business?
What sets us apart as a business is our true Local Small Business mentality. We are able to provide specialized and specific services for clients that the big name box companies just can’t match. We are completely open and transparent with pricing, we never add on fees, and we do great work. We understand that every move is different and every customer handles moving day differently. Moving can be stressful but we guarantee a seamless transition into your new home. If there was one thing I wanted the world to know about Timeless Moving its that were here for the people! Were not in it to get rich, we will never have 10 trucks going out, we want to provide an expert moving experience at an affordable rate. One of the things I am most proud about would have to be our 51 5-star reviews within our 1st year in business, we recently reached 1 year in business so I think that is an accomplishment. It has definitely been scary, it’s been a ton of hard work, 110 degrees days, but worth every second
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Some places I enjoy around the city would be globe life field, I’m a huge baseball fan. Other than that I love the different food spots, the possibilities are endless, recently I’ve been to Railhead Smokehouse, and The Cookshack, both great. My daughter enjoys the water gardens and frequent trips to the zoo to see the baby elephant.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to give a shout out to all of my former employers. They really allowed me to thrive in the industry by giving me the opportunity to learn every aspect of moving. I have been able to travel to 26 different states, move residences ranging in size from 1br to 10 million dollar mansions. The knowledge and experience I was able to receive was immeasurable.
