Meet Kayleigh Cruz | Musician and Artist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Kayleigh Cruz and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kayleigh, how do you define success?
The most successful person is the one who wakes up everyday and at every second, does what they want to do. Choosing what will make them feel good through the day will raise their vibration for the good of all, and reflects positive energy onto others. By choosing what will make you feel best you in any situation, no matter how big or small, success is when you feel best.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
As a young creative, I find self expression in all mediums of art. I believe each medium of expression is connected to one another in some way, and we cannot have one without the other. I dabble in photography, editing, and fashion design often, but from a young age sound and music have always managed to capture my senses. I began singing since i could remember, because the songs I would hear as i was learning about this planet and this life here were too good! I knew I wanted to be up on stage and simply just be heard by the world, as well as incorporating my holistic and metaphysical approach to life through my art. It has been challenging to learn the language of music, with all of the production behind it, and if I hadn’t met my producer, Grant, I would not be where I am now. As I am still a young up and coming artist, all types of challenges arise everyday. “This isn’t good at all” or “ it doesn’t sound blow-up worthy” are the most constant weeds I find popping up in my garden. When low-vibrational thoughts approach my mind, I remind myself that the art isn’t for or about numbers, yet I am worthy and deserving of them anyway. I want the world to know that no matter what advice anybody gives you, or what life changing quotes you hear, YOU are the final deciding factor, and YOU choose what you believe in. I believe in the power of Art and I believe that soon the world will know of mine and many will join me in the act of conscious, harmonious creation.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I consider home here to be very peaceful, and full of the best people you will meet. Many of my lifelong colleagues are here and I cherish calling North Texas home. My most favorite thing to do is find a random spot near the Little Elm Lake, surrounded by nature, and call it a spot. Combining the serene nature with good people, food, and music makes for a healing night. On the other hand, I have found some of the best stores for spiritual goods and pretty jewelry, such as Sleeping Lizards and Juliet’s Jewels, located in Denton, TX.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to shoutout every single person I have ever interacted with or shared a connection with. If it weren’t for that, I would not be in this exact moment I am in now, and I know I am meant to be here. Thank you for helping me get here!
