We had the good fortune of connecting with Kayla Jones and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kayla, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The success of my brand stems from epic failures. These failures have shaped the growth and strength of my brand. I leave you with this thought, “Once you have failed, only there will you find the powerful embrace of your grit.” That grit is why I am successful today.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Hello Friends, I am a Texas Photographer based out of Decatur. I have photographed Families, Weddings, Non-Profit
In this new path, I will be releasing my first coffee table book by October 1, 2020. Yes, I said it friends, my first book. While creating this chapter, I have embraced professional and personal challenges that I will overcome. This chapter in my life is a long time coming. This is a project that I have been working on since last year. In all challenges, comes triumphs.
This is going to be an enthusiastic chapter in my life and I would of never got this far without the support of my family, friends and community. I plan to celebrate this milestone. I have one life to live friends; I plan to live it to the fullest.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would love a visit from my besties. As a very big people person, I have made a lot of friends in the past 20 years. When a bestie comes to visit it is a must to visit my sweet friends at Trinity Street Coffee Bar. They always make anyone feel welcome and make the yummiest drinks. After, we would walk the beautiful Decatur Town Square, take in the fresh air, gossip about life and stop in to see the sweetest chicks at Two Eighty Seven at the Majestic.
After we may finish up with a nightcap and get ready to do it all over again the next day!
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
As a Director of the Wise County Chamber, Director of the Area Business Women’s Network, Sr. Vice Commander of the Disabled American Veterans Chapter 70, and several other organizations within my community have given me the boost professionally.
There are so many in my life I would love to thank, but I may need an entire tablet to do so. I will sum it up, my tribe, the gorgeous women you are is why I push forward. These ladies bring so much experience and encouragement to the table. In all my family and friends make everything possible. Their support gives the personal edge I need to build a legacy for my family.
