Meet Jose Reyes | Real Estate Investor

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jose Reyes and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jose, how do you think about risk?
I believe risk taking is important for those who want to achieve their goals, without proper due diligence of course. It is important to have multiple exit strategies when you’re deciding about taking a risk, this is to avoid a lot of stress on yourself. Without taking any risk, oneself will always be stuck in the “comfort zone” and for entrepreneurs it is important to always take steps forward in order to grow. In my case taking a risk had a huge impact on my life, it took a lot of research and believing in myself and those around me. It pretty much forced me to grow as an individual… which is not a bad thing. Over time I realized that taking that risk was worth it because I am able to change the lives of those around me and myself. So as an entrepreneur to the next take the risk. Believe in yourself and always be persistent. You’ll be surprised at what you’re capable of.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
In my industry, a couple of things that sets me apart from others is honesty and staying true to my word. It gets me excited knowing I am able to help someone in a difficult situation find a way out. In any business it is never easy, for me it took a lot of working after hours while working a full time job and networking with others to expand my knowledge about the industry. With a limited marketing budget I had to get creative on how I will reach clients. A few ways I changed my marketing was through direct mail and digital marketing. Although it took me a long time to get to the position I am… it is very rewarding knowing that all the sacrifices were worth it.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Dallas has many interesting places to visit, I highly recommend eating at EG Steakhouse it’s one of my favorite places to go. It can become pricey really quick but when it comes to having a good time price is not an issue. Personally, I like to go play golf and enjoy the views on the golf course. My favorite place to go, that is open to the public, is the Cowboys Golf Club. If you are looking for nightlife, Texas Live can be very fun with a lot of entertainment and bars. Let’s not forget you’ll be able to see the At&t stadium and the Texas Rangers stadium all in one place!

Without a doubt my parents deserve a ton of recognition. They have always been supportive no matter how crazy my ideas have been over the years. If it wasn’t for them my mentality about achieving goals would be totally different. And for that I am forever grateful.
