Meet Jorge A. Muñoz | Photographer for JAM Photography

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jorge A. Muñoz and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jorge A., how has your perspective on work-life balance evolved over time?
Photography started as a passion, and while it’s not my full-time job yet, I treat it like one. Balancing it with work and family can be tough, but I truly enjoy it, and that makes the effort worth it. My family’s support means everything; they know it’s something I love, and that keeps me motivated. My hope is to
one day make photography my main career, but for now, I’m doing my best to grow it while keeping life in balance.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My photography business has been built on consistency, creativity, and a genuine love for capturing memories. It hasn’t been easy, but I’ve learned to stay patient and keep growing. What excites me most is seeing new clients come in; it tells me people connect with my work and trust me with their special moments. I’ proud of how far I’ve come, and I’m grateful for everyone who’s been apart of the journey.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend visited Dallas, I’d take them on a week exploring the city’s best spots. We’d grab a coffee at places like Merit Coffee or La La Land Kind Café, then sightsee around Klyde Warren Park and the Dallas Museum of Art. We’d eat BBQ at Pecan Lodge, hang out in Deep Ellum for live music and street art, and relax at the Dallas Arboretum or White Rock Lake. I’d also take them to Bishop Arts District for great food and local shops, and maybe even a day trip to the Fort Worth Stockyards. We’d wrap things up with sunset views from Reunion Tower; a perfect end to a fun week in Dallas.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I definitely wouldn’t be where I am without the support of the people around me. First and foremost, my wife has been an incredible source of encouragement; she believes in me, pushes me to keep going, and supports me when the schedule gets hectic. My kids are also a big part of my motivation, they cheer me on and remind me why I do what I do. And I’m really grateful for the photography community, especially the fellow photographers who’ve been generous with their time, advice, and support. It means a lot to have people I can reach out to when I need guidance or inspiration.
