We had the good fortune of connecting with Jonathan Hoeflinger and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jonathan, let’s start by talking about what inspires you?
I am inspired by empowering others to take ownership of what they care about most. This is a core value in my life. Personally, I find joy in the creative process of bringing an idea to life. Professionally, I am inspired by the stories of business owners, entrepreneurs and thought leaders who are working everyday to positively impact the marketplace. Inspiration and creativity are truly God-given. We might discover one good idea to make an impact during our lifetime, but we need to take ownership of our craft everyday for a good idea to come to life. The time and energy it takes to bring an idea to life is worth the effort. When you fall in love with the process to become a master of your craft, it is amazing what you can achieve. I get energized when I learn what others are excited about. We are always on the lookout for ideas that need a spark. Sometimes people just need that one person or organization to believe in their idea. It is a joy to become their first follower and watch the spark of an idea ignite a few people to empower a community. It is a pleasure to work in support of their vision. Music also inspires me. I enjoy writing and rearranging music on the piano. My style is film score. When my mind rests, my hands still need something to do. During the Covid-19 shutdown, I started learning to play guitar. Super fun!

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
For almost a decade, I have been fascinated by how the universe operates as a community of systems. Nature provides a beautiful blueprint for sustainable innovation when we understand and translate its proven principles into common practice. Understanding Nature’s blueprint has provided important discoveries that have driven our innovations at Sharemeister – particularly our applications translated into digital energy. We have entered into a new virtual era with a technological system that allows our communities to work together as a cohesive unit, while giving autonomy to the local parts of its community when they want to operate individually. Our decentralized infrastructure and digital utilities cover everything from command centers, to networks, to communications, campaigns, tools, statistics, finances, products, services, marketplaces and beyond. Revenue opportunities that have been primarily enjoyed by big tech companies are now available to any organization. You no longer have to compromise your inherent value for the sake of your digital experience. Instead, you have the power to scale it. The ability to contextualize digital energy and transfer it from one platform to another is why our digital communities have the capacity to scale and maintain ownership over the content they produce, the products they distribute, the data they store, and the context by which they deliver their digital experience to the community they serve. Sharemeister provides the digital software utilities so you can “take ownership” of your digital community platform. Our role as a digital utility service is to implement and maintain a decentralized digital infrastructure designed to support your community platform by keeping the digital supply lines up and running. Our goal is to move digital energy in all its forms to ensure you make money, support your community and defend the digital sovereignty of the physical communities you serve. We encourage our clients to stop renting space from big tech and build to own.  If you have an idea you want to scale, then we should be your first call.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
When people come to visit us, the first thing we do is pick them up at the airport. We try to remove the “Get an Uber” intro to a Dallas experience (sorry Uber). We love to host our friends and make sure they’re taken care of from start to finish. Once you’re picked up at the airport and settled in – I find Velvet Taco is a great place to go for a fun introduction into the DFW community. Most people don’t want to eat a lot after sitting on a plane all day, but who doesn’t love Velvet Taco’s Red Velvet Cake? Amazing! Oh yeah – and they serve gourmet tacos too! The next day, there are several great places to experience. Personally, I like to take friends and family to sporting events (in the pre-Covid days), to Klyde Warren Park for yoga on a Saturday morning, the Dallas Arboretum (especially during the holidays for the 12 Days of Christmas experience), and the Stockyards in Fort Worth. An absolute must is to check out the incredible art exhibitions at the Dallas Contemporary curated by the amazing Carolina Alvarez-Mathies and then make a reservation across the street at The Charles Dallas, who will WOW you with every item on their menu. Just look for the red light over the back door entrance and ask for “Chas”. Cattleack Barbeque remains the best BBQ in DFW. It’s a quiet spot in Farmers Branch nearby the Galleria Mall. It’s only open for a few hours a week on Thursday and Friday – but their food preparation is first class. Get there early or wait in line. Either way, it is worth it. Still, we enjoy the Star up in Frisco where our office is located. Deep in the heart of Texas shines the Star. We love to represent the quality, class, professionalism and care that comes with being a part of the Star community. This includes a return ride back to the airport (sorry Uber).Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Behind every great business leader are a host of dream builders. They have been present in my life and made all the difference in strengthening the foundation of our company. Our investor family has believed in our mission – to help others take ownership of their digital community experience. The most valuable people we have in our Sharemeister family are those who have an invested interest in our success. They wear multiple hats as our partner, mentor, legal advisor, corporate strategist and friend. As you go through the phases of building a company, you need people who can wear multiple hats at different times. Over time you attract the right kind of people who have tremendous wisdom and knowledge. They are further down the road than you are – so they see further ahead and give insights on how to navigate in the short and long term. To those people who have shared the same path on our journey, given direction and placed their trust in our shared vision of Sharemeister, thank you. You know who you are.
