We had the good fortune of connecting with Jonathan Flores and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jonathan, what role has risk played in your life or career?
For me, risk has never been something to shy away from—it’s been the price of growth. I grew up watching my parents sacrifice everything so that my brother and I could have opportunities, and that perspective shifted the way I see risk. It’s not about gambling recklessly; it’s about honoring those sacrifices by betting on myself and creating something bigger than what was handed to me.
In real estate and business, risk shows up every day—whether it’s locking in a property that might stretch us financially, stepping into an industry we had no blueprint for, or putting our name and reputation on the line with each deal. There were plenty of moments that didn’t go smoothly. But those experiences taught me that the real risk isn’t failing—it’s standing still.
Taking risks has played a huge role in where I am today. Every leap has either moved me forward or taught me the lesson I needed to get better. Over time, I’ve learned to trust the process, do my homework, and then move with conviction. Because at the end of the day, I’d rather live with the results of a risk I took than wonder “what if” about the ones I didn’t.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
For me, my art shows up in how I carry myself and execute in this business. I carry my problems and my pain with a lot more flair than the average Joe—and that’s what people love. It’s not about pretending everything is perfect, it’s about showing up with authenticity, resilience, and style no matter what’s happening behind the scenes.
That flair spills into the way I negotiate, the way I connect with clients, and the way I build relationships. What sets me apart is that I don’t just transact—I connect. I believe people remember how you made them feel long after the paperwork is signed, and that’s where the real art is.
It hasn’t been an easy road. The challenges and setbacks could’ve broken me, but instead, I turned them into fuel. Each one taught me resilience, adaptability, and the value of staying true to who I am. That’s why today, my brand is about more than business—it’s about legacy, connection, and carrying pain and problems with enough flair to inspire others to keep moving forward.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend was visiting Dallas for a week, I’d want them to experience the city the way I know it—not just the tourist version, but the real Dallas.
We’d start with food, because that’s how you understand this place. Tex-Mex at Javier’s or Mi Cocina for the classics, BBQ at Pecan Lodge, and late-night tacos at Fuel City—because you can’t come here and not do that. Brunch at Bread Winners or The Henry would be a must, too.
During the days, I’d show them the mix of culture and energy Dallas has. We’d walk Klyde Warren Park, check out the Arts District, and make a stop at the Sixth Floor Museum for history. White Rock Lake would be on the list for some fresh air and skyline views, and Bishop Arts District for shopping, food, and just soaking in that creative neighborhood vibe.
At night, it’s all about the city’s personality. We’d hit Deep Ellum for live music, swing through Uptown for trendy cocktails—maybe Bourbon & Banter if we’re keeping it classy, or head up to Waterproof at The Statler for a rooftop view. Then I’d bring them down to Lower Greenville for a more laid-back, local scene.
By the end of the week, they wouldn’t just see Dallas—they’d feel it. The hustle, the culture, the community. That’s the Dallas I’m proud to call home.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
First and foremost, I have to dedicate my shoutout to my parents. They invested their lives into me and my brother, and without their sacrifices, none of this would be possible. For me, success isn’t just about ambition—it’s about responsibility. Every milestone is my way of paying back the love and effort they poured into us.
I also want to thank my son. He saved my life by giving me purpose and keeping me from going down a different path. Being a father pushed me to grow into the man I needed to become—not just for myself, but for him. He reminds me daily why I can’t stop, why I can’t settle, and why I have to keep building.
And finally, I give credit to the environment I grew up in. It wasn’t always easy, but it sharpened me, gave me resilience, and taught me how to adapt. Those lessons—combined with the sacrifices of my parents and the purpose my son gave me—are the foundation of who I am and the reason I continue to push forward.
