We had the good fortune of connecting with John Williams and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi John, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
I grew up in a very musical and talented family so I was basically born into the arts.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Hard work ethic and constantly reinventing myself as needed is what sets me apart from others. I’m willing to be uncomfortable and make the sacrifices that most won’t make and that’s not always easy. You have to be constantly active and making yourself available for opportunities seen or unseen. I have learn to train my mind to relax as I run this marathon instead of sprinting and failing. My brand is positive energy and make music that inspires. I was just a kid from a small town that had big dreams and worked super hard to achieve them. I have learned to always trust my struggle.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Dallas is full of great things to do. We have professional sports in football, baseball, basketball, and hockey. We also have minor leagues as well. Shopping at the Galleria is always fun they also have ice skating and plenty of restaurants to eat at including one of my favorites Grand Lux. Night life is always jumping and concerts are always touring through our city so we could go downtown and catch them all.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would love shout out my close family and friends they know who they are and of course my wife!
