We had the good fortune of connecting with Jeremiah Alexander and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jeremiah, how has your perspective on work-life balance evolved over time?
Work life balance has been very vital to my success thus far. In life we have only so much time and energy. Growing to know this, I began valuing both more. I have found a better balance in my life by cutting out all the negative energy and people over time. A lot of these choices were hard being that I’m a very loyal person to my friends. I was once told that being loyal isn’t bad if your loyal to the right people. I took heed to this and started becoming more aware by reflecting and taking brutally honest inventory of my past and present life. I would feel drained of energy and my spirit would not feel good when I had relationships with the wrong people and things. I felt zapped of my enthusiasm and further way from my goals. I got tired of not moving forward as fast as I would like and I made a decision to recreate myself. So I did! It’s very important for me to have self accountability and examine my failures with a learning spirit  and it is also equally important to learn from my past successes, even if they are small wins. Finding balance is finding yourself and knowing yourself [Good and Bad]. Balance is earned and the results are peace and joy. Before any major decision, I seek wise counsel from mentors and successful friends. My balance is maintained with spirituality, exercise, rest and surrounding my life with the people and things I love. You ask how do I think about the balance. The answer is in the question. THINK. Thinking is a powerful divine attribute that takes energy and effort. I do not look for perfection in myself but I do my best to keep moving in the right direction and it all happens with work life balance.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My art is story telling through film acting, scripts and producing films. What sets me apart from others is my passion, transparency, intensity and real life experience. I am excited about my next big project I plan on shooting in December. It is an action movie that will be distributed all around the world. This movie will move me from being a secret to becoming a well know player in Hollywood. Developing the necessary qualities to succeed in my field was far from easy. It took me a long time to get where I am at today and I know I am barely getting started. I overcame the challenges by having an undeniable burning desire for success. I went through so much spiritual pain and sufferings in my past that it lit a fire inside me that lights my path and favor everywhere I go today. My number one lesson in life is to Walk in Love. If you understand Unconditional Agape Love then the rest is cured through the process of staying in the state of love. I may detour from love momentarily but I always hurry back to seeing the world through the eyes of love. My brand is Inspiration, Motivation, Love and a whole lot of Action! Lets Go!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I definitely enjoy hanging out near bodies of water with spectacular views. Locations that remind me how vast and brilliant the universe is. I would suggest taking friends and family to The Harbor Rockwall. There you can restaurant dine on patios right off Lake Ray Hubbard. The lake is vast and the views are breathtaking. They also have hotels, department stores and a movie theater. Another one of my favorite places to eat is Zenna Thai & Japanese Restaurant. They have great happy hour and hands down the best Drunken Noodles and Tom Kha soup in the metroplex.  I’ve shown a lot of friends Zenna and every last one of them were amazed. This place has a cult like following. 🙂  I love Dallas metroplex so much, it’s so beautiful and diverse. Dallas has every culture you can imagine and of course southern hospitality at its finest.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I give a shoutout to God for being loving and patient with me all of my life. I give a shoutout to my family for always loving me even though I wasn’t always the best to them. I give a shoutout to my dear friends that cheer me on and believe in my vision. I give a shoutout to the people that loved me before I loved myself including Judge Robert Francis and Mr. Jordan. I give a shoutout to my acting coaches Theresa Bell and Glenn Morshower for teaching me the craft of acting. I give a shoutout to all of the people I have crossed in this beautiful journey called life. Here are a few books I love that has helped me along the way: The Bible, Think and Grow Rich, The Prosperity Bible, The Four Agreements, The Five Love Languages, The Power of Now, Feeling Is The Secret and so many more.
