We had the good fortune of connecting with JD Williams and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi JD, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
Even as a child, I loved being creative. I loved entertaining and right to this day, I still do it!! Being a creative allows me to express my emotions, thoughts, and ideas through art!

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I created The Sunday Takeout and it’s centered around music, art, and food. What sets me apart from others, is my ability to adapt in any environment. The radiant light and the power that I carry when I walk into a room. It can be any event, big or small, and I’m able to make an impact! I’m very well organized and detailed, so I take a lot of joy and heart into what I do! When it comes to my promo/advertising, I’m consistent and also creative and original. The lessons I’ve learned a long the way is that, there’s someone who’s probably doing the same thing that I’m doing. So always stand out and make the best impression you can! I want the world to know that, The Sunday Takeout is a mood that EVERYONE should experience! Let me be the host, promo/advertise for your brand, or provide media/coverage and interviews for your next event!!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Ooohh this is good!!! There are so many things to do in our city! I hear a lot of people say, oh it’s nothing to do…I’m like whaaaattt lol?! The Free Man Cafe has live music and great food 7 days a week! There’s also The Fivee Bistro Bar that has your day brunches, live open mic nights, and WingsDay. You have the AT&T Discovery District which is an ART in itself and several other great venues and places to network!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Most definitely! My brother Rondregus Underwood aka Mr. U!! I don’t get to tell him all the time, but he’s a huge inspiration to me!!
