We had the good fortune of connecting with Jay Bova and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jay, what inspires you?
Most of JBovaArt is inspired by a combination of the Steampunk culture and Mermaids, little objects that are considered odd and unusable inspire me to use them in a special way.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
a little more about my art : I’m most excited when someone is viewing my art and they start to smile … I think wow I created a smile too. It’s a rewarding feeling! I got to where I am by working and experimenting with a variety of mediums in and out of my studio. Most creations turn out successfully but honestly I have failed at a few but that doesn’t stop me because there’s so much energy inside to keep going and that’s half the fun seeing what works and what doesn’t. Art like life takes time and patience. In a period of about 5 yrs I’ve showcased in a Art Gallery in TX , won a few awards…took my art to several art shows in TX. And now I have my own brand new In Home Art Gallery.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
A great open place to relax is -the lost oak winery- it’s a quiet and beautiful wine tasting establishment tucked away in Burleson. The vineyard and trees that surround the property with even a walking trail. So if you’re in the area I recommend a visit!
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to thank all my follower friends and customers on social media and in person social settings for your support and feedback. I’ve grown because of your love and encouraging energy!
