We had the good fortune of connecting with Jamie Anderson and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jamie, is there something you believe many others might not?
Society loves to tell us that in order to be successful, we have to constantly be on the grind. This is the quickest way to nervous system dysregulation, and total burn out, even if we are passionate about said hustle. To break away from this concept, I find it important to deconstruct and re-define our personal definition of success. Success to me is the quality of. my relationships, the impact I can have on others, a wide capacity to be with the ups and downs of life, and freedom to be authentically me. This doesn’t come from hustle, this comes from alignment. Finding balance between rest, recovery and play, with passion and determination has taken me further than staying “on the grind” ever has. Success has a way of finding us when we embody and align with our purpose, values, and message. I choose slow & intentional over hustle culture any day. When I do this, I show up with more integrity, I strengthen my ability to do “the work” with more ease, and I cultivate a greater capacity to receive the success that’s yet to come and the success that’s already in front of me.
What should our readers know about your business?
Breathe with Jamie is the name of my business. I am a Breathwork Facilitator, Nervous system coach & Yoga Instructor. I facilitate healing spaces for those who feel disconnected from themselves & their authentic expression return to unshakable self-relationship & embrace all that makes us human, so that we can feel safe enough from the inside out to live our most liberated life! My business is less of a “business” and more of a purpose that arose from my life experience. Much of my story is one of returning to connection with myself and unraveling all that stood in the way of my authentic expression, and personal freedom. I lived much of my life disconnected from my body, fearful of connection with others, and existing in repetitive in patterns of self sabotage. Until, I found yoga. That was the first time in my adult life I ever was able to relate to my body in a curious and playful way. I very quickly became a student of all things yoga, breathwork, somatic healing, expanding consciousness, and more! I believe healing and self-relationship is life long journey, but on my journey so far- I have found a sense of safety that emanates from within that allows me to take risks and show up for my life in a bigger way. I have a stronger sense of self that fuels my fierce boundaries that protect my gentle heart. I’ve created the capacity to hold my vast internal experience, and the compassion to speak to myself in a way that feels as if it’s coming from the most important person in the world. The relationship I have cultivated with myself has created an overflow of love and purpose to create spaces and experience to remind and teach others how they can access this too.
The two things I am most excited about right now are,
1. WILD AWAKENING it is a 4 class series that starts June 6th at The Studio in Fort Worth
-This is all about awakening our wild & authentic expression through somatic movement, yoga, breathwork, and Nervous System education
2. The Sacred Return. Yoga + Breathwork Retreat in Dominical, Costa Rica November 11/6-11/11
-This retreat is a coming home journey to yourself. It’s going to be transformational.
You can also find me teaching Yoga at The Studio on Fridays at 9:30am & 369 Pilates on Mondays at 8:30am & Tuesdays at 9:30am

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
When I reflect on the support, and mentorship I have received, there are so many key humans that have lit a portion of my path and have led me into greater versions of myself. So many actually, that I’m unable to choose just one. From people that inspire me, to trainings, to mentors, to my clients and friends that have reflected back to me exactly what I needed in whichever phase of growth I found myself in– It feels wrong to choose only one, and I thank each and everyone of you with my whole heart! If you read this, and thought, “could she be talking about me?” I am. This leads me to an unconventional choice. I would like to dedicate this shoutout to my teenage self. A girl who needed the kind of love, support, and inspiration that I am over flowing with. A girl who needed to know that life could get better. I am grateful she was so stubborn, as that fostered the tenacity I have acquired as an adult. I’m grateful for the trauma and self-abandonment she endured, because the drive to transmute that pain led me to the embodiment work that has given me a deep source of safety, peace, purpose and connection beyond what I deemed possible.
