We had the good fortune of connecting with Jaime Jaimes and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jaime, what do you attribute your success to?
our belief of spreading the Smokin Dawgz experience wherever we go. So we take a piece of our backyard get togethers to every event or pop-up that we are apart of because nothing brings family and friends together like some delicious bbq! Our motto is making friends one bite at a time. We don’t believing in the word customer we make friends for life.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I have been in customer service for most of my life. One of my highlights and influential parts of my life was working in the pawn business for over 20 years. The customer service and people experience I learned has helped mold me to the person I am today. I am now in the insurance industry and there is no better feeling than knowing you helped insure people and their family from the unexpected. So I incorporate all my past experiences into our bbq business to help create friends for life one bite at a time.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would definitely take him on a bbq journey and go all over Texas to try different bbq joints. I would first start at Smoke Sessions in Royse City and work are way To Valentina’s TexMex bbq in Budha.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would love to send a huge shoutout to my wife Santa Jaimes because without her support and encouragement Smokin Dawgz BBQ would not exist. Also to our family that is always supporting us and helping us spread the Smokin Dawgz experience. We have been blessed with awesome friends that are now like family like Ferny for helping us with our printing needs since day one and to Art and his wife Nancy for creating our family friendly logo and for the awesome merch they have created for us since day one! I can’t forget about our bbq family and the rest of our bbq community but especially the OG pitmasters from back in the day from  South Dallas that helped inspire my style of Backyard smokin.  We of course have to infuse it with some backyard Texas BBQ with a Mexican kick.
