We had the good fortune of connecting with Jadde Turk and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jadde, what inspires you?
People inspire me more than anything else. Everyone has a story and there’s so much one can learn from other people and their experiences.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Since childhood I’ve always believed that I was put on this earth to bring people together by reminding them that even though our experiences are different, the feelings and emotions we all endure as humans are very relatable. For the past few years I have been participating in many new and exciting things that I think would help develop my skills as an aspiring TV host, including stand-up comedy. I am most excited however about the Instagram platform I recently launched called @realblackwomen_. The BEST thing on this earth I am capable of being is a Black woman. I know how important it is for Black women to know that they are not too real, too Black, too angry or too loud to be heard and understood. The journey isn’t always a smooth one but everything is temporary! Try to choose peace and positivity and you’re bound to be the best YOU!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend was visiting the area, we’d try all sorts of restaurants with good food and drinks! My friends and I love bonding over a good meal and trying new things. We also love going to comedy clubs and supporting local businesses.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I owe a huge part of my success to all of the real Black women in my life so my shoutout goes out to them! I am honored and feel very fortunate to be a Black woman because we are literally powerful beyond measure. Representation matters so positive, Black, female, support and influence is something I am eternally grateful for.
