We had the good fortune of connecting with Isaac Sloane and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Isaac, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
My father was a touring musician his whole life, I remember growing up watching him play in clubs and bars when I was just a little kid. Oddly enough, I was always an athlete though and wanted to play sports. I went to college on a baseball scholarship, and didn’t even touch a guitar until I was 20 but the second I picked it up I knew that was what I was going to do with my life.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Isaac Sloane & The Sound Brigade is a six piece rocknroll/ jazz fusion group out of Denton Texas. We all came together from our love of live performance and making quality tunes. There are always challenges creatively when you have idea input from six people but we always are able to use everyone’s input to make the best music possible. We give your ears something to think about!
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
In Denton there’s a few really happening joints. Howlin mutt is one of my favorites. It’s intimate, but always full of energy. Harvest house is another one. Always a good crowd, and just a great atmosphere. And then of course LSA burger co with the famous rooftop view of Denton square! All of those are must hit spots if you’re coming to Denton
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My parents, roommate, and my band mates continue to be the support that pushes the whole thing forward

I absolutely love this band Isaac put together. Everyone is extremely accomplished and they have hit a fresh sound that I like to call texadelic blues fusion. The energy and synergy is a refreshing high.
