We had the good fortune of connecting with Hunter Gerhardt and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Hunter, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The most important factor in my business is the mindset I bring to every project. I treat each remodel as a blank canvas, where every trade—from framing to finish—is an individual art form. My role is to orchestrate these skilled artisans to create a cohesive, functional, and beautiful final product. This mentality ensures that every detail is approached with care and craftsmanship, elevating each project from a standard renovation to a true work of art.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My business is built on the belief that remodeling is more than just construction—it’s the creation of something meaningful. What sets me apart is the way I treat each project as a collaborative art piece. I see every trade I work with as an artist contributing their craft to a larger canvas. That perspective helps me deliver not just high-quality results, but spaces that feel thoughtfully designed and masterfully executed.

I’m most proud of the relationships I’ve built—with both my clients and my team of tradespeople. There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing a client walk into their finished home and realizing their vision has come to life beyond what they imagined.

Getting here wasn’t easy. Like most in this industry, I’ve weathered my fair share of growing pains—tight budgets, tough timelines, and all the unpredictable curveballs construction throws your way. What helped me overcome those challenges was a combination of grit, a constant pursuit of perfection, and staying grounded in empathy. By looking at every project from the homeowner’s perspective, I learned how to make the process smoother, more transparent, and less stressful for my clients.

The biggest lesson I’ve learned is that craftsmanship and communication go hand in hand. You can have all the technical skills in the world, but if you’re not truly listening to your clients or collaborating well with your trades, the end result will fall flat.

What I want people to know about me and my brand is that this is personal to me. I don’t just build or remodel homes—I create experiences, memories, and legacies for families. My passion lies in transforming blank spaces into meaningful, lasting works of art.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I have a toddler and a 4 month old. My itinerary is short and sweet, with or without friends. Get home to the kids as fast as I can.
