Hi Heaven, what do you attribute your success to?
An important factor behind the success of my brand is that no matter how much success my business may have, I always approach it as if I am a student. There is always room for growth and you can always learn. I am always investing in my business, by investing into myself! This can be an e-book, a course, or just reaching out for advice from a fellow entrepreneur in the same field as me. Often times, a lot of business owner reach a certain level of success and they get complacent. You have to keep in mind that the world is a constantly evolving place – the same will go for your business. My best advice to you is to always stay a few steps ahead. What should our readers know about your business?
My business is called MELT BODY, which the m.e.l.t. stands for More Effort, Less Talk. MELT BODY is an active body and shape-wear brand that believes in being judgement free. I want to showcase how every body is a beautiful body regardless of shape or size. What sets me apart from the rest is that I am a young, black women and I source my products to have the best flex technology (material) out at the current time. It has not been easy to get where I am today, and it still isn’t easy but I choose to wake up with the intention to never give up. Since I have been on this journey, I have gained and I have lost financially, physically, and emotionally, however, the reward is greater than my losses and I have to keep in mind of WHY I started. I think that is important for everyone to remember, especially in times of discouragement. Remember the reason for your WHY and use that as leverage to keep going forward. Something I am excited about is that I am expanding the MELT BODY umbrella to include swimwear! It is named MELT BODY SWIM and I am excited because this is a new avenue for me. It’s almost like having a new baby that I get to grow and brand from step 1 all over again which refreshes my mind and creativity. Please be on the look out for MELT BODY SWIM and all that is to come.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I live in Dallas, Texas and don’t really do too much within the city. I guess it depends on the time of year you were to visit. In September, we have the world’s largest State Fair, the Texas State Fair and that is always a good time.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I have such an amazing support system of family and friends when it comes to my business or any endeavor that I set out to tackle. I never have to ask for their support or ask them to post anything, they just do it because they are built like that!
