We had the good fortune of connecting with Haley Texada and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Haley, every day, we ask about how much execution matters, but we think ideas matter as well. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
During the day, drifting into a daze is very common for me. My attention span had always been very short before I began talking about, thinking about, or dreaming of doing something different. The difficult part of my daydreaming is that I eventually must snap back to reality. I let my conscious mind take over during the day, while my unconscious mind runs wild during my nights.

Please tell us more about your work. We’d love to hear what sets you apart from others, what you are most proud of or excited about. How did you get to where you are today professionally. Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges? What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way. What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?
What sets my art apart from others is that each piece isn’t just a custom request. I pour 110% of myself into every painting because I want to be able to relate to what it is I am creating. If I am painting something I don’t know about, I do my research. If I am painting something I can relate to, I invest. Lastly, if I am painting at all, I am fulfilled. Many people around the Dallas metroplex know me from my upbringing in Frisco or my collegiate basketball career at Kansas State University. My basketball career taught me an insane amount of discipline, consistency, and patience. I can truly say I didn’t realize how much those three factors would play a part in running a business, but those are three words that I live by to this day that keeps me going. Nothing in life is easy, and my faith throughout this journey is what has helped me overcome every obstacle. All I can say is that challenges are a part of life, but it’s up to you as to what type of attitude you have when you attempt to overcome them. Daze iNights Artistry is the result of a fun, crazy, and challenging journey I have had up to this point in my life. I just hope that whoever is reading this can be a part of this exciting journey with me.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
There are so many spots around the city you can catch me, but I do have a few favorites. Let’s TACO bout it! I love having a great time with friends in the city, especially in Deep Ellum. I am normally there on the weekends with a crew of friends celebrating our accomplishments. We always pass by the Quixotic World next to Upstairs Circus in honor of the first Daze iNights art show I hosted back in 2019. As we move along the streets of Deep Ellum you can catch us at Harlowe, Stirr, Bottled Blonde, Bitter End, and finally finishing the night eating tacos from Vinty Club Tacos. If I am looking for more of a chill environment where I can network to meet new people, I typically will go to The Henry, Haywire, or Happiest Hour for cocktails and good brews… I mean views.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I am dedicating this shoutout to the support I have received from very close family, friends, and the many people I have met along the way that have believed in my artwork as much as I do. I pray moving forward that with continued love and support, we can grow together. As quoted by Rihanna Fenty, “It’s only up from here, no downward spiral.”
