We had the good fortune of connecting with Gigi St. Hilaire and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Gigi, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
My journey to starting my own business began as a deeply personal mission shaped by my own life experiences. After overcoming significant challenges, including surviving breast cancer and navigating difficult transitions, I felt a strong calling to create a space where women could find healing, purpose, and community. I realized that my story and struggles were not just for me but were meant to inspire and empower others.

The thought process was not just about building a business; it was about building a movement—a place where women can repurpose their pain into power through faith, wellness, and connection. I wanted to provide resources and guidance to help women shift their mindsets, discover their God-given purpose, and walk confidently in their calling. My vision was to be a light in dark places and a vessel for God’s work, and that’s what led me to start RepurposeHER Kingdom Building Network.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My business, RepurposeHER Kingdom Building Network, is more than just an organization—it’s a mission-driven community built on faith, healing, and transformation. We focus on empowering women to reclaim their lives, discover their God-given purpose, and overcome the stumbling blocks caused by traumatic experiences. As a faith-based wellness coach, I specialize in helping women change their mindsets, which in turn transforms their lifestyle behaviors, allowing them to thrive mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually.

What sets us apart is the heart behind the mission. My own journey—escaping an abusive relationship, battling breast cancer, and navigating life’s many challenges—has deeply influenced the work I do. This isn’t just a business; it’s my calling. I’ve walked through the valleys, and I know the power of God’s grace and the strength that comes from a supportive community. I’ve created a space where women can feel seen, supported, and empowered to rise above their circumstances.

Getting to where I am today was far from easy. I’ve faced moments of uncertainty, financial strain, and personal loss. The journey required a tremendous amount of faith, resilience, and perseverance. One of the biggest challenges was starting over in a new city with my family and facing a life-altering cancer diagnosis. But it was during those darkest times that I learned to lean on God, trust the process, and keep moving forward. I surrounded myself with people who believed in the vision, and I refused to let obstacles stop me from building what God placed in my heart.

I am most proud of the community we’ve built—a sisterhood of women who are healing, growing, and discovering their purpose. Each event, coaching session, and connection is a testimony of God’s faithfulness, and it’s an honor to witness these transformations.

The lessons I’ve learned are simple yet profound: trust God’s timing, be obedient to your calling, and never underestimate the power of your story. I want the world to know that no matter what you’ve been through, you can rise above it. Your past does not define you; it refines you. RepurposeHER is not just about overcoming—it’s about turning your pain into purpose and using your journey to glorify God.

My brand is rooted in faith, resilience, and community, and I am excited to continue this journey, touching lives and helping women walk boldly in their God-given destiny

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Although I haven’t had the opportunity to fully explore Dallas yet, I’m thrilled to dive into the city’s experiences with my best friend. Here’s a week of fun and discovery we’d have together:

Monday: Visit Legacy Hall for a variety of food options and enjoy the vibrant atmosphere. Afterward, explore Legacy West for upscale shopping, dining, and relax with evening entertainment.

Tuesday: Explore the Dallas Museum of Art in the Dallas Arts District. Then, stroll to Klyde Warren Park for lunch from the variety of food trucks and enjoy the park’s lively ambiance.

Wednesday: Experience virtual reality at Sandbox VR. Follow up with a delicious meal at a local eatery and a relaxing visit to a nearby spa.

Thursday: Spend the day at the Perot Museum of Nature and Science, including engaging exhibits and a 3D movie or live science show. Enjoy a memorable dinner at a top Dallas dining spot.

Friday: Visit a local farmers market for fresh produce and crafts, and take part in seasonal festivities. In the evening, explore local attractions or attend an outdoor concert or event.

Saturday: Thrill in indoor skydiving at iFLY. Afterward, have brunch at a local café and take a scenic drive to explore Dallas’ hidden gems and murals. End the day with a casual visit to a local venue or attraction.

Sunday: Start the day with a visit to my local church. After church, enjoy a hike at Arbor Hills Nature Preserve or White Rock Lake, both of which I’ve yet to explore. Have brunch at a cozy café or bakery and conclude the week with a movie or relaxing evening at a favorite local spot.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to dedicate my story to my best friend and husband, Sydney St. Hilaire, who has been my unwavering rock through every high and low. His love is truly sacrificial—always putting our family first, standing by my side during my toughest battles, including my fight with breast cancer, and continually lifting me up when I’ve felt my weakest. Sydney’s steadfast support, encouragement, and faith have been a constant source of strength for me, and I wouldn’t be where I am today without his love and commitment. He embodies what it means to be a true partner, and for that, I am forever grateful.
