Meet Faith Harrison | Photographer & Interior Designer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Faith Harrison and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Faith, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
My thought process behind starting my own business was deeply rooted in both personal inspiration and a desire to fill a gap I saw in the industry. Growing up, my mom was always behind the camera; capturing moments through both photo and video, and that constant exposure naturally sparked my own love for visual storytelling. I’ve always had a deep appreciation for art and fashion, and by the time I turned 18, I knew I wanted to pursue photography seriously. My dad told me that if I really wanted to start, I had to buy my own camera, so I saved up and did just that. As I began exploring the creative space, I realized that the industry lacked the kind of cinematic, story-driven representation for people who looked like me. That realization, combined with my creative drive, is what pushed me to start my own business, not just to create art, but to create space and visibility for underrepresented stories.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
As an interior designer, I naturally see the world through angles, lighting, and unique perspectives; and that deeply influences my approach to photography. I’m a storyteller at heart, and for me, photography is about so much more than taking a beautiful picture. It’s about truly understanding my client, their personality, their energy, and their story. Whether I’m shooting a wedding or editorial work, that connection is key. It allows me to capture people in a way that makes them feel seen and understood. The journey hasn’t been easy. I started as a professional photographer seven years ago while I was still in college, and there were definitely challenges along the way. But through it all, my community has been a constant source of support, and my faith in God has kept me grounded and motivated. I want the world to know that pursuing your dreams is possible at any age, as long as you put God first and commit to doing the work. I’m a creative through and through, and I love telling stories through both design and photography that speak to people from all walks of life.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
For the ultimate Dallas bestie trip, I’d recommend they stay in a luxury high-rise Airbnb in Uptown with skyline views. Start mornings with Solidcore workout and a post brunch meal at spots like Sixty Vines or Le Bilboquet, followed by thrifting at Lula B’s or Genesis. Spend a day exploring Legacy West for upscale shopping and dinner at KĀI, and unwind with cocktails at Te Deseo or Paradiso’s garden patio. Don’t miss exploring Trinity Groves at sunset, the Bishop Arts District, and city views from Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge. Wrap up with a final brunch at Bread Winners and coffee from Magnolias Sous Le Pont.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Yes, absolutely. I’m a lover of Jesus Christ, who deserves credit for everything in my life first and foremost. None of this would be possible without His guidance, grace, and the purpose He’s placed in my heart. I also have to give a huge shoutout to my mom, who I believe planted the earliest seeds of my passion for photography. Watching her behind the camera throughout my childhood inspired me more than I realized at the time. My dad also deserves recognition for his unwavering drive and determination, which shaped how I approach challenges and business. And I can’t leave out my brother, Jared Harrison, co-owner of Steadfast Fitness and Performance. He’s been my rock and mentor. Always there to push me forward, offer wisdom, and support my journey in countless ways. Each of these people has had a profound impact on who I am and where I’m going.
