We had the good fortune of connecting with Erica Nathan and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Erica, do you have some perspective or insight you can share with us on the question of when someone should give up versus when they should keep going?
Pray and wait on God to response,he will give you a sign. Giving up is not and option. You got to keep pressing because the Bible says his desire for you is to prosper.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
E Nathan Designs & Studio is a venue space that accommodates up to 50 guest for intimate events such a showers, parties, brunch, pop up shops, paint parties, classes, etc.We also offer full service event planning and design services. I began this journey 20 years ago planning a small intimate wedding for a couple who didn’t have a lot of money but expressed how they wanted a wedding. I was able to execute that day with class and style and everything was so beautiful . After that day, my phone blew up with clients wanted me to plan and decorate their events. I continued to get referral after referral and with each event I got even better. My business was growing so rapidly even before we had any social sites. I stepped out on faith and God blessed me to get my own building. Prayer, faith and favor has always been my success story. I wrote a book called Put God In Your Business and I give strategy to help business owners keep pressing even when times get hard. I’ve had some ups and downs but I keep going because God has left me some promises to stand on that he will never leave me not forsake me, he will supply my every need according to his riches and glory and he will be with me always and I stand on that word. I’ve learned to stay focused, kill the comparison game and everyday work on being the best version of myself. I have a passion for what I do and I believe in working in a spirit of excellence. I love to teach others how to step out on faith and walk In their dreams and vision.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
We would eat at Houston’s which is my favorite restaurant. I would take them to E Nathan Hair Studio which is my salon to get styled by me and makeup by my daughter Jada .I would take them on a tour of downtown Memphis and to my church for worship.

I would like to shout out my grandma Mary Anderson my Mom Helen Anderson my Husband Derrick Nathan and my daughter Jada Smith for the support, the love, the push, prayers and the pour
