We had the good fortune of connecting with Emily Aguilar and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Emily, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
Getting an event rental company started was scary in the middle of a pandemic I started in October of 2020. I always told myself I could do it and I never looked back. My husband and I have two kiddos and we had just closed on our house in Colleyville when you husband got laid off due to COVID-19 related issues. I have never been the breadwinner of the family so I certainly panicked. on the night of September 16th I could not sleep, not because of our financial situation but my brother had passed away that day 4 years ago and something told me stop wasting your time and go for it so I stayed up, sketched some drawings of what I would like to build and called up my mom up the very next morning and told her my crazy idea and she said LET’S DO IT!

The factor behind my success it is a family business so everyone is involved. My mom has gone with me to deliver and setup my bonus dad has let me use his truck and drive along on late night drives, my dad helps me when I am in a crisis framing letters on a minutes notice, my father in-law helps me when I am not around with people picking up from my house, my 5 year old daughter gets to go on delivers with me just so we can ride around and talk, my son who is 11 helps paint and bulb letters and my husband we will say he keeps me organized like my whole office space where the letters stay would not be a thing if it was not for him and he also keeps me sane, and THEN there is the glue to our family GRANDMA she literally helps with kids, house keeping, going with me to delivers, dinners the list could go on. But truly the success is family and if they are not there to support you then you will fail or it will be really hard.

The success of my brand has everything to do with the community I am in and the awesome business owners that I have had the opportunity to connect with and work with. If you show up, you do the work, you are on time and your product is GREAT it is going to be really hard to fail. Failure only happens when you do not give your all.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Well I have always been a worker bee. I was determined from the time I was 18 to not be a failure. I had my son Wyatt at 18 years old and I knew what kind of life I wanted for him and for myself so I worked really hard to get to where I am at today. I went to college for a bit, it really was not for me. I worked 3 jobs to make ends meet, I bought my first house at the age of 19. I have failed MANY times in my early 20’s lets just say life is rough and it will knock you down. Today I work 40 + hours a week as an executive/ personal assistant. I also run a business and am a mom of 2 very busy kiddos and a wife! Sometimes I feel that all the plates are in the air and I can not catch any of them they are all just going to come crashing down. However at the very last minute they all stay up and just keep spinning because life does not stop and you just have to have a really good circle to keep you going, to keep your plates spinning.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Well first off I would drag out all the MARQUEE LETTERS to welcome them!

Pop some bubbly and hang out by our pool and talk I mean that is why we bought our house we love the backyard!

Then head down to the stock yards to hotel Drover for some dinner and drinks, then walk around and see the cattle drive etc.

Late night fun see who is preforming at Billy Bobs!

If you are in the DFW you got to see what TEXAS is all about!
