Meet Elizabeth E. | Podcaster & Influencer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Elizabeth E. and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Elizabeth, can you share a quote or affirmation with us?
Technically it’s not a quote, but an entire poem: “Our Deepest Fear” by Marianne Williamson. But if I had to pick a particular part out of the entire poem and make it a quote, it would be: “Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure…There’s nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you…And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same”.
I love this poem because it speaks to the potential of humans. So many of us live our lives and who we are at our core, in the darkness of other people’s opinion or societal norms. And often times we keep our true and authentic selves hidden in order to be liked by others, accepted by society, or fit in with the world. But ultimately what we are doing is robbing the world of our greatness. No one benefits from us holding back, including ourselves. But allowing our light (i.e. confidence, courage, fight, passion, purpose) shine, we give others permission to others to do the same.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My story begins as a young girl navigating the struggle of loving her body and loving herself. I grew up believing I wouldn’t be loved due to my weight, a story told to me daily by my father. Although this narration played out for most of my life, I would also have to say it is the foundation of my most proudest moment of life and the whole message behind my brand. Because of the journey I endured, I was able to make my pain my platform and use the mess as my message.
Was it easy, ABSOLUTELY NOT. It took a lot of fight and forgiveness, to not only forgive him, but to also forgive me so that I could remove that heavy burden I was carrying and become the woman I desired to be. This mentality is what birthed my brand, Becoming Her where I inspire women to push their over-thinking aside, to stop sitting on the side lines of their life, and take action to become the woman they envision. My passion and purpose is to empower women to live boldly, and more confident in all areas of their life.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would give credit to my parents for molding me into the strong woman I am today. I may not always have the answers or always get it right, but they have taught me to never give up on ME.
Also, a HUGE shout out to my friends, I know without a doubt, without their support, encouragement, listening ear, and patience, I would not still be here pushing as hard as I am and getting back up when I fall.
