We had the good fortune of connecting with Ebony Brown and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ebony, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
Hi, I’m the owner of Delire Accessories. The reason I pursed an artistic career is because there are no limits in art. Art gives me the freedom to create in so many different ways as well as a stage to express my ideals and beliefs as well. I was raised in the 90’s era and I can remember as a child always hearing teachers say “dare to be different”. I believed I could be, so I did. Once the COVID-19 pandemic began, I started designing fuzzy sandals to earn extra money. Unbeknown to me, within a years time I would expand my vision to designing luxurious customized feathered and bouquet celebration bottles for EVERY occasion. I encourage my clients to celebrate every milestone and accomplishment no matter how big or small. Recently my creativity has expanded to offering one of kind art on canvas as well. I love what I do, Once I start working it’s hard to stop. When I wake up everyday and do what I love that passion is confirmed when I reveal my work and see the reactions of my supporters . My prayer is that one day my designs and creativity helps inspire our next generation. It is vital to teach our youth that within their hands is the power to change their community or even the world!

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
What sets me apart from others is my unique creativity. I design never seen before creations. I work with a wide range of textures. I’m most proud about owning over 8 copyrights to some of my designs. I got to where I am today professionally by first getting over my fear of failure, taking a leap of faith, being consistent, balancing family, work and life. It took lots of trial and error, staying up late nights in order to fill orders before deadlines, it also required lots of networking and meeting new potential clients. It wasn’t easy but, what keeps me going is actually doing what I love. I’m very passionate about my work. The lessons I’ve learned along the way are to be consistent in whatever you do, that practice makes perfect, don’t be afraid to let the world see your creativity and if you want more customers you have to go out and find them. What I would like the world to know about Delire Accessories is to celebrate every accomplishment and milestone, enjoy the moment with the ones we love and most importantly be creative and let art tell your story .

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
The social life in Dallas is amazing. I’m a huge seafood lover so Bag Boy Seafood is definitely my go to spot for some amazing and delicious cajun cuisine. I especially love their Oyster Rockefeller and french parm bread but, literally everything in the menu is delicious. For the best cocktail drinks I would head over to The Tipsy Alchemist in Downtown Dallas. Some of my favorite desert spots are Aqua S in Victory Park Dallas their Ice creams are delicious and Sablon Chocolate Lounge on McKinney Ave. Deep Ellum night life is also a great spot for some great music, drinks, tattoos or if your just feeling social. The Lorenzo Hotel Dallas is also a great place to visit. It’s full of unique artwork there’s a picture of Andy Warhol and even an Albert Einstein painting by the the pool. The vibe is so artsy and relaxed, it’ll definitely get your creative blood flowing.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
The person who I would like to dedicate my shoutout to is my mother florist and interior designer Denise Ratliff Thomas. I’ve watched her work and design luxurious boutique floral arrangements and decorate homes for decades. She definitely has an eye for elegance and glamour.
